Roger jerks awake at the sound of enemy fire and several explosions. He rolls out of his bed and crashes to the floor, grabbing his handgun off the nightstand. He rushes into his jumpsuit and pockets a couple of mags.

He listens at the door for any signs of the hallway being swept. Being a heavy sleeper he had no concept of what time it was.

You need to get the loving lint out of your ears soldier. This could have been going on for a while and you'd be dead in bed.
