Off Topic / every time i open windows movie maker, without fail, all sound cuts off

further explanation: if i open up a video in windows movie maker and press play, all sound cuts off from my computer entirely, and i have to reset it. can someone pls tell me how to fix it because it is giving me migraines.

as you may have guessed google hasn't helped. i think i may have even posted a topic like this before (?) but it clearly didnt help if i did.

also, sorry if this wasnt clear enough but i need help and i dont wanna restart my computer again unless i have to

Games / What happened to the Homestuck game kickstarter? {(!!Grain of salt warning!!)}

recently, the person who (apparently? too lazy to like find a source for this but it's somewhere im sure) made the Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff cover art for its official hardcover release, posted on their blog a detailed description of why the homestuck game, which had over 2 million buckaroos to work with, has not even gotten close to being finished after about 2 years.

the tl;dr is: the developers of King's Quest (yes, King's Quest) stole all of the kickstarter money and did not spend any time developing the game, leading to the game being started from scratch with almost no funds.

i vaguely recall hussie stating the lack of progress comic and game-wise was complicated, and he didn't want to write out a sob story to garner sympathy. if this is true, i'm not sure why he held back.

again, take most of this with a grain of salt, even though they provided a pretty damning video link in the post. problem is we have no way to prove someone with a blog titled "starscream's craterous robot pusillanimous individual" (carolcat???) is telling the truth about their connection to this game, but still.

this happened a while ago (like 2 weeks? idk), but im just now remembering it. fun fact: about a week later he was back on air and everybody pretended it didnt happen.

at 3:00 am, when everyone around you is sound asleep and there's nowhere to run in your small cube house, a SERIAL KILLER barges in, with a BIG KNIFE! what will you do?

in other words, add to this template to protect yourself from the murderer. or if you're feeling creative, erase/redraw some things to fit what you want to do. for example, draw the stick figure barging through the wall. now that i've given it as an example it'd be dumb to use it, but you get the point.

Games / nvm i figured it out

i tried google, but just to be safe i wanted to ask a more specific question to people i can actually interact with. googling doesnt always help for that stuff. has anybody tried this before? im trying to clear my profile and all my save data, and that can be accomplished by deleting my main profile 'and items' i assume, but i dont want to delete all the games and additional content stuff i downloaded (like themes). will they be safe if i select "Delete Profile and Items"?
