I just disconnect and reconnect and it fixes it on its own. im still not sure why though. maybe too many devices connected at once and mine gets left out.i think that was the problem. the funny thing is i had a suspicion it was a power-saving thing

"This is a problem that has had wide documentation across the web: windows 8 randomly drops wifi. Here is the best way to fix it:
right click the icon in the icon for wifi in the bottom right near calender. Click trubleshoot problems, and let it resolve itself. The trouble shooter should reset the wifi adapter, if it doesn't try again later. This should solve the problem."
the only problem is i've tried that basically every time and it has yet to work.

"My Wifi has dropped from my Toshiba Satellite with Windows 8.
PC is not even 5 months old"
i also have a toshiba satellite so does that have something to do with it?

ok so my computer is pretty new, but it has this problem where all of a sudden my wifi stops working. the yellow exclamation mark appears over the wifi symbol, and the only way to solve the problem is to restart my computer. no major complications from doing that, but it's a pain in the ass. send help
