there are tribal jokes like this everywhere, (yes the ape joke is common) and even though there are many people who this would not offend them, because they know it is in good fun, it can encourage tribals without anyone meaning for it to do so.

You explicitly said they do not have forum accounts. Do these people just browse the forums regularly without ever having bought the game or what? How are they getting offended by what is said here?

lemme address this quote specifically to re-iterate that calling black people apes in the same manner that the jokes in that thread did are very common.

again i want to leave this off here by saying that i don't think you should perpetuate these jokes because it can have many unintended side effects, some that i did not list in this post. you guys can make these jokes, im not going to try to stop you anymore (keep this in mind before replying) but i want you to keep in mind that there probably are genuine tribals on this forum, and you might not be able to distinguish whether they're serious or if they're goofing around. i don't think you can ever be too careful with that, and i certainly don't want to accidentally encourage someone's tribal beliefs.

The people he claims to know don't even use the forums. He's showing them stuff we say so they get offended and he can look like the moral hero to his friends.

no? stop jumping to conclusions. calling black people apes is a pretty common joke that people get offended by. i don't show anybody forum posts because i'm not petty.

and let me reiterate that if anything, yosher is in the minority. he is one guy. i don't know what makes you guys think his opinion matters more than anyone else's, besides the fact that he agrees with you.

how about stop trying to tell other people how to behave just because it offends you.  You can't label yourself the moral police and expect to be received well when all you are doing is trying to get everyone to conform to your padded cell.

i sorta addressed this in the drama, it's because i know more people than me that would find those jokes distasteful, but since you guys dont know them, and they dont even have a forum account for that matter, i'm not gonna bother.

i have decided that since you guys don't actually know the people that i claim to know would be offended, i technically have no proof of my claim, and i will refrain from discussing this further until there is 'proof' of a couple of people getting angry. for now i'm just leaving it at i think it's going too far and i don't think they're funny.
