Holy stuff are you serious? A ratio applies across all units of measurement, you know that right? No one is talking about the size, just the ratio. This really isn't a hard concept, it's some elementary school level stuff.the north carolina education system is absolute trash but i know enough to know that i at least need the unit of measurement for the ratio of something that i have not paid attention to in the slightest
ratios do not have units of measurement, you loving numbskull. the ratio is universal between units of measurement.again i refer to the macintosh plus because i got the wrong impression when it was described as "very old"
a 16 by 12 inch monitor has the same ratio as a 40 by 30 cm monitor
That's irrelevant. The point is that no one makes box-shaped (4:3) monitors anymore, so it's safe to assume they're old.how is asking for the unit of measurement used in a ratio irrelevant in any way to this situation

I'm not going to sit here and teach you basic mathematical concepts, there are better qualified people paid to do so.clearly you dont understand that when you're just using the words 4:3 to describe a measurement it could literally be any unit of measurement. i already told you i know jack stuff about monitors so i don't know which forgetin measurement is standard in measuring monitors but at this point i'm assuming it's inches

Maybe you should try a high school math course rather than the Blockland forums if you're really having trouble understanding ratios.
