There are some great TV Series out there, everyone has different views on shows though. Some of the shows in this topic might even be cringe-worthy to some of you.

Here is a metric ton of tv shows.

Doctor Who is just a great just show that has been going on for over 50 years.

Quote
"Doctor Who" is a classic science-fiction series with a cult following. The Doctor is called a "Time Lord," a time-traveling scientist from a far off planet, who travels through time and space in a shop known by the acronym TARDIS. A TARDIS is a machine that is larger on the inside than the outside and is supposed to change its appearance based on its surroundings. The Doctor is also able to evolve his biology, so he appears as many different people throughout the series. The Doctor loves Earth, so he makes many trips here to save the planet, or to enlist earthlings to help him with tasks in the galaxy.

When his latest obsession -- a particle accelerator heralded as a world-changing invention -- causes an explosion, it creates a freak storm and Barry is struck by lightning. He awakes from a coma nine months later with the power of superspeed. When he learns that others who have gained powers use them for evil, he dedicates himself to protecting the innocent, while still trying to solve the older mystery.

NCIS

Quote
Naval Criminal Investigative Service Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs leads a group of colorful personalities in investigating crimes -- ranging from murder and espionage to terrorism -- that have evidence connected to Navy and Marine Corps personnel. The team includes witty ex-homicide detective Anthony DiNozzo, quirky forensics specialist Abby Sciuto, and the brilliant -- if insecure -- Timothy McGee. Dr. Donald "Ducky" Mallard brings his vast experience in forensics into play to help solve cases.

Everybody Loves Raymond

Quote
Ray Barone is a successful sports writer and family man who deals with a brother and parents -- who happen to live across the street. Mom Marie loves to meddle in his life, while older brother Robert sometimes resents his success, and Dad Frank just makes comments and raids the fridge. Nevertheless, Ray manages to keep a bright outlook and a sense of humor, leaving the hard issues to his more-practical wife, Debra.

Impractical Jokers -- this might be a more cringy one, I personally like it because it can be refreshing to watch after a bunch of these illegal harmful pranks that there is a show that shows good harmless pranks.

Quote
This hidden-camera series follows four lifelong friends -- Brian "Q" Quinn, James "Murr" Murray, Joe Gatto and Sal Vulcano -- who take dares to an outrageous level. Since they were young, the quartet have challenged one another to do ridiculous dares in public. On the show, to find out who is best under pressure, the guys compete in awkward and outrageous hidden-camera hijinks. At the end of each episode, the loser must perform what is deemed to be the most-mortifying challenge yet.

As the two pursue their quarry, Red forces the rookie profiler to think like a criminal to see the bigger picture.

In one of the longest-running science fiction series in network TV history, FBI special agents investigate unexplained, mind-bending cases known as "X-Files." Though the government is convinced that the outlandish reports are false, conspiracy theorist Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and realist Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson), for most of the series, stop at nothing to prove that "the truth is out there." Series creator Chris Carter also serves as executive producer of the thrilling pop-culture phenomenon.

A depressed economy has radically changed the way many Americans live their lives. For Todd and Jack Hoffman, those changes mean risking it all -- including their health -- as gold miners in the wilds of Alaska. With his aviation business grounded, Todd leases a gold claim in southeast Alaska, Porcupine Creek, the same place his father, Jack, mined in the 1980s. They recruit a small group of greenhorn miners from their Sandy, Ore., hometown, and "Gold Rush: Alaska" follows their efforts to strike it rich. It's the biggest gamble these men have ever taken, a last chance in the heart of "The Last Frontier."

Before complaining about the market price of Alaska king crab, check out this gripping documentary series, revealing the mortal perils and intense discomfort that fishing crews face on the Bering Sea to catch the delicacy. Those perils include 40-foot waves, 700-pound crab pots that can easily crush a careless crewman, and freezing temperatures around the clock.

Three generations later, the 4,000 survivors living on a space ark of linked stations see their resources dwindle and face draconian measures established to ensure humanity's future. Desperately looking for a solution, the ark's leaders send 100 juvenile prisoners back to the planet to test its habitability. After the death of her husband, Norma Bates buys a motel in the picturesque coastal town of White Pine Bay, giving herself and teenage son Norman a chance to begin anew. Shy Norman is reluctant at first, but with the help of his mother -- with whom he shares an intensely close relationship -- the boy begins to open up to others and make new friends. Some locals, however, aren't as friendly and welcoming to the Bates, who discover that because White Pine Bay isn't as peaceful as it appears, they are forced to do whatever it takes to survive. The drama series, from executive producers Carlton Cuse ("Lost") and Kerry Ehrin ("Friday Night Lights") and inspired by the seminal 1960 horror film "Psycho," explores the formative years of Norman Bates and how his complicated bond with his mother forged a serial killer.

George R.R. Martin's best-selling book series "A Song of Ice and Fire" is brought to the screen as HBO sinks its considerable storytelling teeth into the medieval fantasy epic. It's the depiction of two powerful families -- kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars and honest men -- playing a deadly game for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, and to sit atop the Iron Throne. Martin is credited as a co-executive producer and one of the writers for the series, which was filmed in Northern Ireland and Malta.

Sick, twisted and politically incorrect, the animated series features the adventures of the Griffin family. Endearingly ignorant Peter and his stay-at-home wife Lois reside in Quahog, R.I., and have three kids. Meg, the eldest child, is a social outcast, and teenage Chris is awkward and clueless when it comes to the opposite love. The youngest, Stewie, is a genius baby bent on killing his mother and destroying the world. The talking dog, Brian, keeps Stewie in check while sipping martinis and sorting through his own life issues.

here is my attempt at the planet without andrew price's tutorial. it's not quite as nice, but I think it looks pretty nice. only things I want to do is make the vignette stronger and move the sun closer to the earth, maybe even lessen the blur on the atmosphere. but I don't feel like rerendering right now

I'm going to start 3D modeling for a program i'm going to be doing next semester at a community college. Can anyone point me in a direction where I can learn more about using Blender and other programs? I've checked out Andrew Price, but he looks like some next-level stuff.

Sorry for the stuffty generic open-ended question by the way, I'm new to this but it's something I'm willing to sink a lot of time into

the hardest part about his tutorials is that he goes pretty fast, if you follow along with some blender cookie tutorials it can help you learn how the program works a lot better. but don't just watch, it helps a lot to actually follow along. I am going to be attempting the earth render by myself and I'll see if I can post it here soon

NordInvasion is a mod for the popular TaleWorlds game, Mount & Blade: Warband and it sees you take up arms with players from around the world in a bid to fight off waves after wave of the Nord armies as they seek to destroy Swadia.

With a huge environment of maps and persistent characters, NordInvasion is one of the largest and most popular mods available for Warband and continues to grow with an active team of developers regularly adding content and features.

Some of the biggest features for NordInvasion include:

Persistent characters that update in real-time.
Over 30 brand new maps to explore featuring multiple locations and weather conditions.
In-depth class and skill systems allowing you to create characters best suited to your play style.
Unlimited characters per account.
Quests to complete for rare rewards & the King's favour.
Detailed crafting system with multiple career paths.
Great cooperative battles to defend the realm of Swadia.
House's enable clans to band together for Swadia whilst proving they are the supreme house.
Don't like the current defenses? Build your own with deployable barricades.
Huge tournaments featuring individual tests, one on one challenges and huge house battles.
And so much more including explosives, health kits, Gods, cavalry...

The persistent character system is really cool, here is a screen shot of my character's page.
