I used to have this Playstation game. I didn't get it in its box, and its disk was marked with a large, metal X. It didn't have a title screen, and started with an animated cutscene that I always skipped. I was brought to a menu with a few options: start game, highscores, options among a few others. However, all the text was corrupted, with some letters mixed around, some were missing, and some were garbled. If I picked the first option, a screen came up telling me to select (or as the game said, "kelect") one of three futuristic-looking spaceships.
The game itself was a side-scrolling shoot-em-up, and the first level was set in a burning city. I remember it being incredibly difficult, with most enemies having fullscreen attacks, invisible bullets and the ability to move very quickly. There were also three bosses at different points of the level. Despite the initial difficulty, I managed to make it to the second level, which was set in a desert. That's pretty much all I remember.
