Off Topic / US Challenging China In South China Sea (VIDEO)

With China asserting it's claims over the South China Sea, it has begun building man-made islands to forward deploy fighters and other military assets to back those claims. These claims have angered US allies such as the Philippians and Japan as some of the areas which China claims is within their EEZ (Exclusive Economic Zone), in compliance with UNCLOS (United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea) this is their exclusive zone for exploiting natural resources such as drilling and fishing.

Anyways the US does not recolonize these claims and has started challenging them by deploying B-1B Bombers and P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft. HEre is some pictures of the islands taken from the video and other satellite photos.

Edit: China warned the US plane to leave the area but it refused and continued on it's path.

Off Topic / need an essay (steam game reward)

So I totally forgot about my english assignment, which is due tomorrow, and I can't really focus enough on it to write anything half decent (I'm sick and have massive headaches) so i'm going to ask here for some asdsistance - as much as I hate doing so.

if anyone is a good/decent writer and knows enough about the Baltimore riots to write a 500 word essay with the following criteria, i'll pay with up to a $10 steam game.

must choose a situation going on in Baltimore and write an editorial about it. So it could be something like the bias of media in baltimore, the riots, etc.

Must be 500 Words.
MLA Format (i can fix this up, so don't worry about it too much)
Cannot be Plagiarized (duh)
Done by tomorrow.

Again, I usually would never ask someone to do this kind of thing for me, but i'm sick right now and just can't focus for stuff. also doesn't help that my English grade depends on this assignment.

Off Topic / Russia Unveils New MBT (Along With Other Platforms)

The T-14 Armata is Russia's next generation of Main Battle Tanks, it was designed to be used as a platform for other platforms such as a IFV, APC, etc. The main turret is a 125mm smoothbore, which is larger than any current NATO MBT Turret. The turret is also unmanned, it uses an autoloader while the crew sits down in the armored capsule in the tank. The armor on these new platforms are a new type of steel armor (44S-sv-Sh), which is designed to operate in arctic conditions (Could be deployed to Arctic to reinforce Russian territorial claims).
If I was NATO i'd speed up development of the next generation MBT's, because this tank could cause problems for the Abrams/Leopard/etc.

Also I plan on buying The Art Of War by Sun Tzu.

Off Topic / Steam Playing Random Ass Sounds

So this is the second time it has happened this week, just now i'm sitting on my computer reading online and all of a sudden the loving FRIENDS theme song pops starts playing out of no where. I closed all other programs and then realized it was from steam.

The other time it happened it starting playing some other random ass song I didn't recognize.

Anyone know what this is because it's loving annoying.

Kaspersky Labs (Russian Cyber-security Firm) has uncovered what the media is calling the "American Cyber Arsenal". Among the highest infected countries are Iran, Russia, and Pakistan.

Most of the intrusions have been traced back to the NSA and US Cyber Command by a front called "Equation Group".

Off Topic / US Navy Tests Anti-Ship Version Of Tomahawk (VIDEO)

The US Navy tested a new variant of the tomahawk cruise missile, used as an anti-ship missile as a stop-gap until the LRASM (Long Range Anti-Ship Missile) comes into service. This variant of the tomahawk isn't exactly new, it was put in service in the 1980s but quickly retired because the 1000nm range was too far for the ships sensors and the flight time also meant it would arrive hours later. The reason it is being brought back to service now is because modern data-links allow the missile to be guided in by closer assets (Satellites, Tactical Aircraft (Like the F/A-18E/F shown in video), other ships, etc). Another reason is because as of right now, the US Navy operated the 1970 era Harpoon anti-ship missile which is close to useless against a modern navy, it has poor range, speed, and cannot do any maneuvering to avoid being hit by something like a CIWS.

ANYWAY, the only reason I bring this up is because I wanted to share the awesome video of the test. Also, the missile didn't have a warhead.

So this asswipe cut me off in a roundabout (surrounded by grass and light-poles), and there was nothing I could think of at the time so I jerked the wheel to the side, went straight off the road to avoid getting hit. When I went off I came about 2 inches away from hitting a metal lamppost head-on, instead the base of it hit my wheel and fender.

Still freaking out because I came two inches from hitting that pole head phone.





Still trying to figure out how it didn't hit anything but my wheel.

Found this game a few days ago and been playing it, wanted to know if any of you guys play it and want to join me in a game.






The game is pretty much won by attacking the enemy cities and killing the most population you can, and taking out the enemies military to preserve your own.

Also i'll probably end up making this a megathread if people actually play this.

Well Apple's iOS just overtook Android in marketshare for the first time since 2012, only by .1% but still. Apple's iPhone 6 was like a nuclear bomb on the market, selling some 74M units since release.

Help / Ghosting Issue

On my server when I start going around the map to ghost, instead of ghosting it just lags for a second and it all appears. This could be an issue when going into battle and then you lag as your flying/driving, but it hasn't


If it matters we are using 64x mod terrain for almost the entire map.
