welp. got my ass handed to me by a mustang the other morning, 20 minutes later I had $1300 less dollars. Just bought a tune, downpipe, and chargepipe for my 335i. Should be interesting getting 400hp+ out of it.

I have been hosting for years and so far my two most popular servers are Fort Wars and Trench Wars. Now here is something I noticed between the two. I can only host Fort Wars (with a high player count) for 1/4th the time I can Trench Wars. Never really understood why, but then it hit me awhile back. In Fort Wars you build your base, spawn whatever weapons/vehicles you want, and go out and fight. Ok, that was fun for a bit...what now? There was no progression. Nothing to work toward.

Meanwhile you have Trench Wars, you start out with two capable (of course not the best by any means) weapons, then you can buy new things such as pills, grenades, guns, etc. It gives players something to work toward, a reason to keep playing. Also, the player is at no significant disadvantage (this applies to my Trench Wars, cannot speak for other servers) because in Trench Wars its about strategy. If you have the lowest tier gear, are you going to want to run across an open field against someone who has an M27? Probably not. You have to adapt, change your tactics. So in that case you would want to build a Trench or a Tunnel and go under, or flank around the enemy until you can get close, where their superior weapons are less of an advantage.

I realized I rambled on a little (just got home from a 12h nightshift so im a bit tired so sorry for any typos or anything), but the money system has both advantages and disadvantages. If I knew how to solve everything I would.

Honestly, I'm against having dirt converted into points because that's forcing players to isolate themselves from combat.  This option would have players abstain from eliminating foes and/or capturing the flag, which are more efficient methods of gaining points.  Another reason is that it provokes the habit of players making the map entirely wrecked to the point where players struggle with navigation.  The server will end up having hermits who painfully scramble the arena while isolating themselves from earning points productively.
Well, mining points for dirt is an extremly inefficient strategy to get points. 1pt per 100 dirt is nothing. You could kill multiple players or capture a block in that time. Worst comes to worse it ends up being a fluke and we can disable selling dirt.

The stategy I was kinda going for is it gives people who work on massuve walls and tunnels a rewars for their work. Albeit small.

That is literally what an exploit is! The fact that it wasn't admin only before isn't good, but no one is really blaming you for that, Glass. It's that you acknowledged some of your admins exploiting it, and did nothing about it.
I never said it was used maliciously, but that I used it as an admin tool.
Well, I mean, that's what some of the people were accusing the staff of using to make themselves have an advantage.
It's not far fetched, no? Especially since it was allowed at the time. No other accusations have been noted from what I've seen since you claimed to have turned it off.
If it was happening then it wont happen again because no one has access to it while in the minigame. So problem is solved, we can end this discussion.

Plus, other people also mentioned they witnessed it. This isn't even just about Crown, multiple people have claimed to see it, even before Glass openly ADMITTED that there was an exploit available to admins that let them dig faster.

This alone should be evidence enough to suggest that most of these "accusations" have truth to them. People were claiming that admins dig faster than normal users before it was brought to light.
You should know that it’s not an exploit, you hosted a Trench Wars server. It’s a command built into the gamemode. I use it almost on the dailey while hosting to easily destroy skybridges that get to be gamebreaking. Either way it was modified so it cannot be used if the player is in the minigame.

Additional updates that are being implemented is a buy/sell dirt function (1pt per 100) as well as being able to buy killstreak items in the shop (such as the nuke/airstrike, and they will be expensive, probably around 150pt each use for nuke), and I will also be making it so if you get a killstreak (starting at 5) you will get double points.

I wrote the above on my phone so it’s not well written, sorry.
