It isn't as much a magic trick as it is a stage play. They've been practicing this act for a while. The deck has been forcibly shuffled to have those same four cards every time they perform it. Also, the possibility of a window being used isn't too far-fetched either

Proceed to put myself into reckless self-endangerment in a desperate attempt to kill myself. If I survive, then it shows I have a reason from some higher astral being. Survive. Live. Attempt to make AIs. Enough to replace the human race. Have them behave like humans, except better. Nicer. More compassionate. Disappear from the new society. Die without regrets.
