Well, in the world it most likely wasn't one man that planned all the bases, right?
who knows. The builds could certainly be meshed together - I just don't think it would make the game any more fun, and there's also some issues, like having to change colorsets and having to raise up TBD's islands really high to go with Heed's water height

Come to think of it, TBD's server and Heed's server could be in the same world, and the same island chain!

In heed's they fight over the biggest island, in TBD's, they fight over a smaller group of islands.
I think it would look weird having two building styles together like that

General Discussion / Re: How can I improve my building skills?

something I recently noticed was that builds look vastly better when they:
  • stick to a single theme, color scheme, etc.
  • cover more of the screen when you look at them - at least for speedkart tracks, because they are so big that you have to build on a larger scale than usual to fill up the same amount of screen - you see the details from so far away that building on a normal scale, you would barely notice the details as you pass by them. The main details that you notice are those that are far away, so make them huge.

You can learn a lot from other peoples' styles of building without copying their style entirely

I'll build some parts of bikini bottom as soon as I finish these awful college application essays that I'm submitting at 12:01am tonight. I'm only doing this because spongebob was 95% of my childhood

but really you should at least attempt to build something decent lol

Um, aren't Superkart tracks supposed to be lap-able? Won't that not be possible due to the spawners being placed like that?
I'm making it work for speedkart in case the track is finished before superkart is out, but it should be easy to re-arrange for superkart. It will be looped in the end, and for the sake of speedkart, I'll make the finish just behind the beginning and block it off

first of all, awesome website! c:

there's a few things I noticed though: it seems like a lot of unknowing people are going to upload saves that use a bunch of custom brickpacks, since it doesn't say on the website that the builds have to be all default (at least not that I saw) - it would be cool if we could upload the required non-default brickpacks along with the save file, and have it work with this nifty add-on by Elm: Add-on Presets.

also, I found a minor grammatical error in the second email it sends when registering:
"We hope your enjoy your new account on Blockland Saves!"

should be you instead of your

Ok to make up for the wait im going to add a fith captureable island that is a full scale bunker.
Hard to take and easy to defend if you utilize it correctly

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Sepukku Item

googled 'define sepukku'

googled 'define hara-kiri'

>says it's another term for sepukku

not really hehe. It's a ritual Self Delete by disembowelment with a sword, formerly practiced in Japan by samurai as an honorable alternative to disgrace or execution, for those who don't know. I'd suggest looking it up on youtube to see what it actually looks like in the movies.

We have a scripter and he's working, quit telling me to use VCE.
awesome he's working. I hope this works out.

To clear this up, I kept mentioning VCE because it sounded like your scripter was becoming inactive based on what you posted:
he doesnt respond to my messages 60% of the time.
Quote
You haven't actually sent me any scripts yet
you've probably already realized this, but if you don't want ppl suggesting plan B's, don't make it sound like your plan A is failing

I'll be looking more into scripting now that I've heard this from a scripter:
Don't ever use VCE. Most of the time it breaks, and if it does, everything breaks.

Scripts increase freedom into the game.

it must be a miracle that I've never had an issue with VCE though

These seem to be the main problems with VCE:
Every time I used VCE and saved a build with it or something and it loaded as public, ALL the variable events broke and stopped working like how they are supposed to.
VCE REQUIRES the owner of the brick to be on at all times, and if there's no owner to speak of VCE just stuffs itself and dies.

The first issue can be avoided simply by not loading bricks as public.
The second issue is more of a problem. We would need someone to fix it if possible. Oh wait, you would need a scripter for that too - I guess we're stuck.

EDIT: If you need a VCE guy, Whirlwind is probably your best hope - or Big Brother, but idk if he's still active.
