have you thought about using the spears instead of the broom though

Wow lmao that's a brilliant idea, for some reason I just totally overlooked them

As a kid I used to get upset when I saw disturbing stuff in video games. Now I know it's just polygons and fake 2D particle effects. I don't feel any more comfortable watching gore videos than I did as a kid.

You probably run a greater risk of becoming 'desensitized to violence' by watching edgy garbage like Saw and Final Destination since it's closer to real gore.

Probably get like, more than one hobby. You're not going to be able to stop gaming if you have legitimately nothing else to do all day.

"Homework" or other responsibilities don't cut it because nobody likes doing loving homework. If you only have 1 activity you become dependent/focus locked on it and it becomes impossible to break away from it. If you have several activities that you regularly bounce between, bouncing to school work or other responsibilities wont be as difficult.

Force Skis Player
Simple player-type that spawns with Skis and cannot take them off. Instead of tumbling when you hit something really hard, you just straight up die

Download

Ski Poles Item
A simple item that gives you some more control over your skis. Gives a small forward boost, letting you accelerate faster AND also start moving from a stand-still. Useful in combination with the playertype.

Download

Disclaimer: Might break everything. Let me know if it does

Suggestions & Requests / Re: Ski Player
« on: December 09, 2016, 05:34:35 AM »
Okay so I made this because it was easy, at the same time I'm an amateur coder so IDK if I've got the right idea but it does what it's supposed to do. Puts the players in Skis when they spawn, and doesn't allow them to get off. You'd have to change "PlayerStandardArmor" to the actual datablock of the Ski Player

Code: [Select]
package ForceSkisPlayerPackage
{

function gameConnection::spawnPlayer(%client)
{
Parent::spawnPlayer(%client);

%player = %client.player;

if(%player.dataBlock $= "PlayerStandardArmor")
{
%player.startSkiing();
}
}

function Armor::doDismount(%this, %obj, %forced)
{

%player = %obj;

if(%player.dataBlock $= "PlayerStandardArmor")
{
return;
}
else
{
Parent::doDismount(%this, %obj, %forced);
}
}
};

activatePackage(ForceSkisPlayerPackage);

You'll still come off your skis if you hit something hard and tumble though. What do you want to happen in that instance? Just have the player die?

Distance yourself from that Glaceon stuff. It's not cute or funny, it's just straight up creepy and obnoxious. I don't expect you'll be able to change your forum name but ditch the avatar and avoid posting it anywhere but the furry and special interest threads, and tone it down in those threads, don't give people detail they didn't ask for. I wouldn't stuff on someone for having a weird special interest or obsessive interest but when you incorporate it into your identity it becomes degenerate.

Posting on a message board is a social activity. It's not AS social as talking to be in real life but it's still social. So you still have to hold yourself to some form or another of social formality. RP'ing on a public message board is cringeworthy.

Why don't you try not sticking out. You don't need a good or bad name for yourself. Be a background guy who joins discussions with neutral comments and is not memorable for it.

This is essentially the most excellent advice anyone can give you on this forum, good job putting this into writing lmfao

How do we fix the problem then

Easy, we just sink the entire state of California into the ocean, they contribute 7% of the US' total emissions

Honestly, this feels like an overstatement, since I can think up of alot worse forumers than Nix (Okiver, Kalphiter, Iban, etc.)

theyre banned tho

So because he can't handle insults that are flung at him literally every day CONSTANTLY for no reason, no matter where he goes, makes insulting him completely fine, along with purposefully trolling / provoking him just to start stuff like this, all fine and dandy?

Are we still pretending that the middle-school tier teasing that took place in the gay users thread was even remotely reminiscent of actual hazing and trolling? Or are we just making stuff up at this rate?

He got the message loud and clear of exactly what the community thought the first time he posted that sweaty ass picture of him showing off his Glaceon doll. His response was to post an even creepier and more disturbing version of that picture. That's just one example of the borderline belligerent in-your-face "forget you, I'm going to behave badly if I want to!!!" attitude.

Like let's not forget that before this whole "don't call me gay!!!!!" melodrama, the guy was literally bragging about how he made another man loveually frustrated after self admittedly engaging in a gay furry RP with him. He had literally 0 ground to stand on before the sperg incident.

provoking him dog-piling him with personal insults and attacks constantly will just make the situation worse.

I think you missed my earlier post in response to 'dog piling' and 'constant criticism'.

jokes that he's said time and time again, that he doesn't like

When it gets to the point that you've developed a e-trigger, you've already lost tbh.

If you can't handle banter, that's your problem, it's not up to the rest of the world to coddle you at the expense of real comedy.

Here's my question to you: why should Nix get special treatment in this case?

I think it's worthy to note how the majority of people defending Nix here tend to be on the butt end of criticism/banter regarding cringe worthy behavior themselves, just like Nix.

everyone dog piled him, insulting / making fun of constantly

Why is it exclusively the pieces of stuff that get this treatment? Do all users have this problem, or just the ones who exemplify sub-par behavior?

If you're having this issue, the correct response is to take a step back, identify the problem, and fix it. Sperging and throwing a hissy fit and further proving yourself further to be a loving tard only throws you deeper into the loop. Quit coddling the tards, we really don't need them.

1-13 years old:
I basically don't remember stuff from this era. I was an awkward kid, I was homeschooled, I wasn't attractive. Anti-social attitude started at a young age.

14-15 years old:
Pretty sure I was in bootcamp for this. After that I had 1 year in public high school. It wasn't very memorable. Didn't have any growth as a human being.

16 years old:
Moved to Australia. Life kinda changed. Suddenly had to be independent, and I got a fresh slate. Warmed up to people, was basically the most popular kid in school. I was still learning so I ended up loving my reputation anyway. Learned a loving lot about people and some kind of explosion of maturity

17-18 years old:
Very social era. Met a lot of people, went a lot of places, was drunk a lot, went to clubs, got mugged, life was exciting, but I decided I hated it anyway. Began phasing out my friends and settling backs into my anti-social nature.

19 years old:
University, video games, not many friends. Life is... simple, and comfortable. To top it off, found a girl and things are going great, overall my life is pretty okay... at the moment.
