Everyone keeps telling me beer is an acquired taste like coffee, but all I can taste is burnt pisswater. How am I gonna get into beer when it feels like I'm downing a mug or can of piss. Coffee at least has some form of bittersweetness to it and you can put cream in it to make it sweet and creamy.

what, do you drink alcohol for the taste or something?

should probably stick to mike's hard lemonade

To me it doesn't even matter if they are babies or not, 20 weeks after conception most fetuses develop a majority of their pain receptors and many abortion methods are atrocious. I'm generally against abortion but I think it's fine in some cases.

There is no legitimate scientific support that proves a fetus can feel pain in the second half of pregnancy (as a matter of fact most neurologists agree that it is highly unlikely that pain can be felt before week 26, which is the beginning of the 3rd trimester)

but isn't it a really linear and self-focused way of thinking to take away the potential of a productive existence? especially after the fetus has developed to a certain point.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'linear' and 'self focused' in this context. Realistically every egg in the female body is 'potential productivity', on average a woman has around 300,000 eggs in her body, 90% of them will be lost by the age of 30. In america, on average every woman will give birth to two children in their entire lifetime. That's 299,998 eggs which are all 'potentially' a productive life. Nobody is worried about the potential productivity of these eggs. In regards to 'development to a certain point', 99% of all abortions are done before the 3rd trimester. Around 90% are done in the embryonic state. ~90% of these aborted pregnancies aren't even fetuses.

Most of abortions are performed in poverty stricken communities anyway. We can't determine whether or not these children will lead productive existences, and more often than not will bring burden to their perspective communities.

Thank you for the effort but, I still think it's a baby

Yeah, thanks for wasting my time richardhead. You got me. You and your garbage uninformed opinions are why medical science is being held back.

but a pine tree can't enjoy the fact it exists

the fundamental concept is that the developmental stage =/= the final product, even if potential is involved. the pine cone and the pine tree are vastly different things
unless you're memeing me

All right, give me your supported proof that a fetus isn't a baby

Because it cannot survive without the aide of the placenta and umbilical cord until the 3rd trimester (where less than 0.01% of abortions are performed)? Because it doesn't have established thalamocortical connections until the 26th week? Because it's less than two inches long at the start of the fetal stage? Because it's not breathing? Because it weighs 8 grams? Because it's brain isn't functioning until later into the 6th month? Because it doesn't have formed bones until the third trimester?

There's literally no reason to continue. You keep stuffting out the definition of fetus as if it means anything. Every dumbass and his dog on the planet knows that the fetus is an 'unborn baby', the real debate is whether or not a parasitic mass of cells which is incapable of emotion, breathing or movement is considered valuable 'human life'. I'll give you a hint: a pine cone is not a pine tree.

You don't know what a fetus is

Gee Andrew Wakefield you sure just dun did told me a thing or two. Shame you have no loving clue what you're talking about and can't make a single point besides reciting unsupported claims and definitions like a broken record from the 1964 pro-life medical magazine. Go forget yourself (actually: don't, procrastination is murder)

if semen are tiny little potential kids, are eggs from the female unborn kids too?

More-so than semen you might argue. And yet, eggs (even sometimes fertilized eggs) pass through the female body all the time during a natural process.

This is a chicken.

A fetus is literally an unborn baby

So is a sperm cell

Semen is not a baby

Good job figuring that one out. That's a step in the right direction buddy

Now you just need to figure out that an unconscious mass of cells isn't a baby either

They said a lot of things. Rule of thumb to development: don't loving make promises during development.

it just works

my source could beat up your source

You got a source to support that claim?

A lot of people seem to think abortion is just like, flushing a toilet or some stuff, and the mother just suddenly becomes 'not pregnant'. That's not the case. It's can be a very invasive surgery, stuff ain't loving fun, no woman uses abortion as a form of contraception. They use it as a last resort when all other forms of contraception have failed and they are now pregnant with a baby that they cannot raise, or might even kill them. I believe in the right to abort your fetus, up to a certain stage. Once you find out you are pregnant you should make it your top priority to decide whether or not you will birth your child. If you leave it to a certain stage where the fetus is becoming more than just some cells/an egg, it should be assumed that you have made the (legal) decision to birth your child (unless the pregnancy becomes life threatening)

Nobody likes abortion. Realistically, you cannot tell people what to do with their own bodies. If you refuse a desperate woman an abortion, they may take drastic/desperate measures, which will be far less human than a clinical operation.

It should totally be allowed, but the husband should definitely have some say in the matter before the baby is aborted.

This ultimately opens an avenue to abuse. IMO, if the husband wants an abortion and the wife does not, he shouldn't have to pay child support. If he wants the child and she aborts it, he should be compensated. But you can't tell someone whether or not they will give birth.
