I've used a section of log as a base for a sledgehammer anvil (secured via a hole I chiseled out) but that's only because I had a bunch of spare logs in my backyard after cutting down some trees kek

Concrete would be too weak to withstand a hammer hit with a hot metal bar on it. Not to mention most concrete blocks aren't smooth unless you compress/sandpaper it.

Obviously you'd be using the sledgehammer head as the face, not the concrete keeping it in place.

Yeah I'm thinking about how I'm going to make my anvil since buying one after buying a whole workshop isn't going to be an option.
I'm thinking of places to find a big ol block of flat iron. So far my only guess has been to buy a large free weight and if it's flat enough it could work.

You could try sinking a sledgehammer (or comparatively similar tool) into some concrete and using the head as the anvil. It wont last long but it does it's job

OT though I haven't done much blacksmithing recently because I live on a rental property in dry-ass australia so there's no real place to build a forge and anvil. Back in the states I made one or two rough blades and tools but I've always been short on resources and tools lmfao. I'll probably just stick to rock carving for now

This really feels like bait to get me to respond to it. I'm still not going to do that. U really was going to, but now i'm not because i still don't want to set the precedent that repeatedly pestering me about something is a good way to get me to respond to it.

You frequently ignore criticism and arguments when they corner you into a position where you have to admit you are blatantly wrong. I have no reason to believe this just simply isn't another example of that. I didn't break any of the rules (and not in a 'you didn't explicitly say i couldn't do this' manner, i seriously don't see anything i did that would under any circumstance be bannable by principle). Even if you do go ahead with what's basically spamming arguably false reports, I really don't think that'd get me banned. Personally I sometimes don't agree with Badspot's banning judgement but I still give him more credit than this.

Fortunately for you there's no direct rule on this board that says you're not allowed to constantly disrupt threads with senseless trollbait arguments, but in the 8 years I've been a part of this community I've seen better people than you get banned for less.

wouldn't say I have a 'phobia' of anything, but I dislike spiders more than the average insect. I can deal with roosterroaches and worms and crickets and mantises and moths but spiders chill my ass down to the bone to the point where I'm forced to kill them

Big spiders I'm pretty okay with though.

Now my throat hurts a lot. I've already taken some Dayquil, but that only helped for about an hour. What are some ways to alleviate a raw/sore throat?

keep it wet. keep a huge jug of water or whatever fluid you want next to you at all times and just drink it down whenever you feel pain or dryness in your throat. I've beat sore throats in under a day doing this.

It's funny because Blockchip very clearly had no response to your post at all. In that post alone he had made 7 replies and 2 of them were in response to you. If he had a response, he would've said it. Your point could be considered good because Blockchip had no response to debunk it.

I know I've said it thousands of times but if everyone does it there is literally nothing he can do
this means no replying to his own threads, his bait filled posts, or his non stop rants

If your plan relies on everyone on doing something correct, it is going to fail. It's basically just not even worth mentioning. It's more logical to just get rid of one stupid starfish than to attempt to persuade 500 people to do something differently.
