Same way they dodge/deflect 10 soldiers firing at different moments with blasters. They don't. They'd die. You guys think Jedi are invisible against blasters, they're not, they're just usually a step ahead. This is why we don't arm the entire Imperial Army with expensive gay ballistic weapons, because the blaster works just loving fine.

Using the force isn't just a combat booster. It comes with the power to detect bad situations before they happen. A competent Jedi wouldn't end up surrounded by 10 soldiers with blasters just as they probably wouldn't easily get into a tactically disadvantageous position against a soldier armed with a ballistic weapon.

For any two shot weapon you would think it would have a second barrel.
At least Borderlands adds in a second barrel for 2 shot weapons.
Also the free bullet is crap it should cost 2. New Vegas wasn't afraid of making plasma weapons cost more than 1 ammo.

You should go make a mod that adds gimmicky attachments for all unique weapons. Because I would actually probably download it.

I made a gun with a looping sound effect and it worked just fine using most of the methods described in this thread.
This may or may not work but try putting the stateScript for the onStopFire function in this block of code instead:

Look up the Cycler Rifle. Ballistic weapons exist in the universe. However it's cheaper and much more efficient to just simply arm a Stormtrooper with an E-11 Blaster Rifle which holds 100 shots in a single rechargeable power cell than to give them some shoddy ballistic weapon along with a bunch of ballistic ammo.

Holy stuff. I won't answer all the questions, because forget typing on my phone. The reason I won't, is because the base mod was trusted to me with the presumption it will remain private. I am against private mods, but I respect the wishes of the author. I was trusted with various bricks like road bricks in private too. Plus the edit is not polished, stable nor tested. Even if I were to release it, it would be Iban's all over again. Instead of exploding at me, you could have clarified these things by asking why.

How did I explode at you? That was probably the most reasonable/non-offensive way anyone could've responded to your post.

Also, you're being very inconsistent. If it wasn't up to you whether or not the mod was going to be released due to privacy reasons, why would you say this?
I stalled the release indefinitely because of all the drama that follows CRPG-s and that I had the realization that it was quite uninspiring.

I actually have made CRPGs before. I actually have a great one on standby that I never hosted, but I stalled the release indefinetely because of all the drama that follows CRPG-s and that I had the realization that it was quite uninspiring.

So basically what I'm getting from this is you decided to not release your version of CityRPG because of people who complain about CityRPG, then you proceed to complain about somebody else's CityRPG because it is not your CityRPG? Obviously the best course of action here is to release your idea of what "more effort" means to the public so we can learn from it and the CityRPG community as a whole can progress. That would be the constructive thing to do.

This isn't just directed at you, either. CRPG as a whole needs a fixing, it does, but it's not gonna change overnight with one guy doing all the heavy lifting while everyone else gets mad at him. Everybody who can contribute, and actually cares enough to contribute, should contribute.

Maybe some effort should be put into the server instead.

I mean, call it cliche, but could you make a better one? Not everybody is a great coder. It's even harder to try and reverse engineer a broken mod to fix it. If you've got a problem with CityRPG, maybe you should go through the lengthy effort of getting your own copy and then go through the lengthy effort of digging through the code to make changes. Every little bit of innovation in the right direction helps. Getting mad and bitching and complaining does not help.

You know from what I saw he must have been doing something right. For the last week-ish the server has been at the top of the list, full of people just having tons of fun, messing around, having a good time.

No, no it's not. You just have to be around when it happens because it doesn't last long. I had a phase where I would browse /b/ pretty much around the clock. It's all I'd do for hours. It would pop up at-least once every two or three days.
