i still don't like the comparison and you dismissed like the entire game already in it's literal first 28 days of progress by saying you think it's unoriginal and will continue to be so
sorta unsure how to respond to this or interpret it otherwise; will hold off on responding further until i have every prerequisite to disprove this in place ig.

my response to your response did have an attitude to it that I don't think u deserved so that's my bad. your takeaway from my post should be that I think it looks interesting and I want to see where it goes. I failed to communicate that because I sandwiched the (diminished as it was) compliment with negativity because this is the blockland forum and I am not accustomed to being nice on here but that's stupid so I am sorry for that!!! the art looks good and whether there is a familiarity to terraria or any terraria-inspired games doesn't really matter

I do think you should be prepared for starbound comments because you're going to get them one way or another. such is the nature of art and media consumption. you're going to have to find some way to keep that from getting you down

the song is pretty cool also. the drums feel a bit loud compared to everything else, but I imagine that's easily modified if it's not the intended outcome

don't really like comparisons to starbound ... sort of need to work on vfx to stop the starbound comparisons ig.

well no offense but it looks like terraria in space with aliens which is what starbound is. I'm not sure what you could change that would rectify that. even if the gameplay is ultimately dramatically different (which doesn't sound like the case) it will still look like it
and to reiterate this isn't an insult of any kind. I liked starbound and there is a reason that the aesthetic of both it and terraria was so popular

I think the name could be better. otherwise looks neat if rather similar to terraria and starbound. but I think starbound was underrated. so maybe that's ok. also one more thing I don't think 2.5d means 2d with layers

i got Real Friends and didn't get groomed, so i think that i got a positive experience out of this game.

I don't think most of the rest of it is really directly applicable to me, and maybe or maybe not the "getting groomed" part I'm not really sure but I mostly come down on the "no" side personally. the Objectively Bad Things that happened to me had nothing to do with here

but like the overall sentiment is the same. the forum kind of sucks but for me I think it was net positive. I'm married to and living with androfox currently, and my bff of all time is still wynd fox and we talk every day. I'm still friends with several other blockland people, if not quite at the same level. I don't attribute my interest in programming to blockland, really, because I never learned to make mods for the game, or anything like that. but I probably wouldn't have gotten into it, anyway, without meeting some of the people I did here, so that's nice considering that interest is wholly responsible for the level of comfort in which I am able to live

but like, that's just my view of like... having been here, which is different from like, what the forum is. I do think the forum itself, in isolation from the relationships that formed here, is distinctly bad. being in this kind of environment was not good for teenage foxscotch or probably anyone else here. but I turned out ok in spite of it. I think most of us did. but definitely not all

if you get banned from somewhere and they always provide the reason for the ban, wouldn't it feel wrong if they specifically don't provide you with one?

don't respond to fox since they unequivocally argue in favor of their friends and are i think pushing 24-25~.

if you're having to argue with a grown adult why it's unfair to compare being booted from a friend group because they dislike you to being swiftly and permanently removed from public discords for little to no reason then you're being baited.

the fact that they got public links doesn't have anything to do with this. if you go to the public library and get banned for routinely annoying librarians and other visitors they're not gonna tell you why. not even if you have other friends who still go there. they're just gonna tell you you have to leave. you can either do a lil introspection and change your behavior so you don't get banned from any other libraries or you can just get over it

ultimately paying doesn't matter here and paying will never matter - unless in the next 2 months everything suddenly flips to being fine, fair and courteous this will continue happening and you'll look stupid for arguing for the brickadia devs because the writing was literally on the wall and has been for years

you are certainly right that paying for the game doesn't matter when it comes to being banned from the discord, which is not what you paid for. being banned from the game itself for anything less than being hostile to or harassing other players would be unreasonable, which I already said. but the discord server isn't included in your steam purchase
