then I suppose nobody is good enough to live
there, question answered
but it's not like jesus christ himself is coming down from the heavens to judge each individual personally
it's indiscriminate annihilation of everyone, including people like Ghandi, and technically people like Malala Yousafzai
but if i don't die then i am the one fit to live
but you would die. cus even if you somehow managed to escape death by ignition of the atmosphere, what would you breathe?

survival of the fittest
...doesn't apply if literally everyone dies

well if everyone dies, then it's served it's purpose, huh
well, no. they wanted to kill everyone except themselves, "except" being the most important part

aren't you a real negative nancy?
the ENTIRE point of this is for it to be difficult to choose. it would be useless if you didn't consider the reality of the situation before trying to decide

on the bright side, rebuilding the city would create tons of new jobs to spur the economy
yeah like 50 years later and only after losing millions of people
I wouldn't take the chance of them reproducing and wiping out all of America, so nuke
there's only one, I don't think they could reproduce alone
it revolutionized the world tho
they thought there was a chance it could ignite our atmosphere and we would all die. everyone. everything ever, that ever was or will be, would be gone, for a weapon. that slight possibility isn't worth the creation of something that would lead to the popularization of the most deadly weapons ever

Logically you'd save more by just letting the monsters leave. They couldn't kill everyone in the city, but a nuclear weapon would.
but the issue with that is it's uncertain whether they will leave or if they do, when they will
a monster isn't part of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
do you think a nuclear detonation is gonna magically only affect the monster and none of its surroundings?

why not authorize every nuclear-armed nation fire a nuclear missile at once at the monster
because that would be the single most ridiculous example of overkill in the history of the earth

cloverfield imo is one of the best uh
hypothetical situations for this sorta thing

like
you're a military commander of some sort (probably the president of the united states because of the sheer scale of the decision)
and there's this big monster messing everything in NYC up. the monster even released a ton of little small monsters (small, relative to the big monster, they're about the size of dogs) that kill people directly OR if that isn't possible, their bites will kill you soon after you're bitten
so the big monster's ruining literally everyone's day PLUS they've got all their itty bitty parasites ruining even more days

and now you have to make a choice

choice one: do nothing. the monster and all its little buddies could get tired or whatever, maybe they would simply accomplish whatever they came for, who knows. but they leave. this means that only the people they killed die. nobody else has to have anything happen to them, and other than the loss of the people who are already gone there will be no permanent problems

or choice two: use a nuclear weapon. no smaller weapon is possible; you've tried plenty on the monster and they didn't work, not to mention the fact that they won't be able to get rid of all the parasites. this will GUARANTEE the loss of every single person left in the city as well as many others, and the area will remain uninhabitable for decades or even longer. not to mention the climate issues and the other non-immediate effects it would have on the area around it

so what do you do??

it might not be 4000$ or from 2008 but i wouldn't pay 2600$ for it
maybe because you're not a professional designer or a company who employs designers?

not only are you telling me that it's over a thousand dollars cheaper than you previously said it was but you are also not proving to me that the software is from 2008
