I feel like Civilization should be on the list instead of Civilization V, as by the time Civ V came out, the franchise was nearly 20 years old. Additionally, I'm not all that sure of anything in particular it did to massively change the 4X genre that the original didn't already do.

I don't mind it, but it bothers me that the words "Under God" are included in the current edition of the pledge, considering they carry a connotation of a unified church and state, along with only being added in the 50's to directly oppose communism discouraging religious services.

Also, my high school is only required to say the pledge every Monday morning.

The project was eventually passed down to Erich Hartmann, but it had to be postponed due to the outbreak of WWII
