there's two part twos in the op

Wow, this is some really, really awful coding on part of the designers. Is there some way to enable DirectX 11 tessellation, but also impose a cap on how far down the tessellation can go?

Off Topic / Re: at how many frames per second does the universe work
« on: August 29, 2016, 01:54:17 PM »
The Planck time is the amount of time it takes for something to travel at the speed of light across the smallest distance of the universe, the Planck length. It's about 5.39116 x 10-44 seconds. Times shorter than this might as well not matter, due to it being impossible to transfer energy in a shorter amount of time.

Assuming that a frame occurs every Planck second, we can determine the framerate of the universe to be 1.855 x 1043 frames per second.

Of course, this is more akin to the tickrate of the universe. The framerate depends entirely on the eye viewing the universe, but is still capped by the universal tickrate, due to the lack of a truly outside observer.

EDIT: Fixed links and elaborated on why times so short are meaningless.

to be fair bees are also really chill unless they're Africanized or you intentionally provoke them.

Africanized bees and other forms of hornet are just naturally starfishs though.

Spiders are pretty much the same, unless they're recluses or wandering.

Help / Re: Blockland unable to read decals and auth bar files
« on: August 29, 2016, 12:34:41 PM »
I'm bumping this because my issue has somehow fixed itself. I have no idea what caused it, but for posterity, I'll post what I did following the onset of the issue.

I reinstalled my game about three times, and moved my add-ons, config, and saves folder out of Blockland to fully reset it. After this, I let it sit for about a month; I have no idea if an update was pushed out between then and now, but something happened, and now it's fixed.

I'm also going to post the advice that ultimateZAX sent me, in case spacemen of the future end up with a more advanced version of my issue.

There is a couple of difficult ways to fix this issue.

If you ever port forwarded on anything, try doing it again with the program you port forwarded. Blockland may not have gotten used to the port forwarding since it was so sudden.

If you port forwarded Blockland or did it while it was open, either do it again with it open or without.

I may come up with other solutions, but this last one has the greatest chance work.

Move all of your important/needed/wanted things (add-ons, other games, important programs etc) onto a flash drive (or multiple to organize) and completely reset your computer to where nothing is on it but what it started with. remember to make sure your files are on the flash drive(s) before you do it. I recommend either checking it on another computer or checking on the same computer after putting them on it.
