Aren't they unable to open source it due to legal reasons?the impression i got from your post was that code can now be fixed by anyone rather than just clay kenko and whoever else
I'm really not sure how this works, but in my assumption, it's because the developers are like a closed group of people, so as the developers of a modification of a retail game, they can have access to the game's files and make changes to them, but we, as the consumers, are not allowed direct access to those files, like how we don't have access to those files with actual Blockland (outside of Electrk's decompiles), and i think that's where they had to draw the line
Again, this is all one big assumption, so i might even be wrong, but that's how i see it
fix broken codedid they open source it? last i heard if you tried to change the code the game wouldn't let you launch
Literally the only reason I ask here is because im 99% sure none of the remaining active users are feds. And body Armour isnt illegal in most states?Fed.
Yo mommaPretty true, my amigo
One Tony falls.just when we thought he was gone for good
Another Tony appears.
The cycle is endless.
i just need to say this goes hard as forget
Anyone that's splintered off from the main game aren't playing v21 anywayoh you know, the people playing servers and gamemodes in rebuilt that already exist on v21
Alternate versions of Blockland are not the reason the actual game is dead
If these alternate versions didn't exist, they wouldn't be playing Blockland in any capacity whatsoever
Can people please understand this simple concept already
oh man I can't wait to host Trench CTF on v21 and then get ddosed for 2 hours the moment I get 3 playersthere hasn't been a ddos on blockland in months
what if we all just played regular blockland instead and then we might actually have a sizeable playerbasethat's a great idea, i sure hope nobody tries to prevent that from happening by creating another version of the game that splinters the community, that'd suck
Arent both of them over? What are you talking about? No one runs blockland glass after it was compromised.shock is (or was?) a developer for glass. it's fine to run, and has been for several months now after the breach, i and many others still run it because there's no reason not to
My thoughts are that it would be best to shutter Blockland Online, take all the add-ons off of it, merge them into Blockland Glass, and then send an update order to all BLO add-ons to re-download themselves with version.json information pointing to Glass' repo instead. All files, media, comments, view counts and descriptions could be transferred over.yes
and yes
- BLO has a "Brick Finder" tool that lets you do reverse brick UI name searches, primarily used for finding missing bricks in saves or identifying what add-on a brick is part of. It would be trivial to move this to Glass.
A $30 price tag (which will apparently increase after early access lol)no loving way they're going to increase it what lmao where'd they say this
