It's about the distributive property
I think you first multiply the x in the (x - 3)  by each term in the bigger parenthesis. then you distribute the 3 in the bigger parenthesis. Then you add then all together (do not forget that the 7x is a negative)


I'm pretty sure I'm right about that but I could be wrong.  What grade are you in?

I'm freshman, but I'm doing Algebra II

Also, my friend just got online, he's able to help me. Thanks for your help, though!

I'm studying for my test tomorrow, and I need help to figure out if this is correct. I don't really have anyone else to help me study with.

(x - 3) (x^2 - 7x + 1)

Can someone tell me what they get for this? I think I have the right answer, but I could be wrong, so just tell me what you get/how you got it
