I'm well aware of what .dts shapes are. JVS utilizes dts shape models. I was inquiring of their use on the ship
We used them to finish the hull curvature by taking a 3D model with a good hull curve to it, putting it into our scale, and overlapping the build. From there we essentially traced the curve.

Looks so formidable not even god could sink it.
And that's not even realizing the flooding pumps, the watertight subdivisions, the double bottom of the hull, or the electrical watertight doors, along with a wide variety of other safety features. The only two things that come to mind that could plausibly sink this ship would be a rogue wave hitting her side-on or sideswiping an iceberg, but even, she has enough systems to stay afloat for several hours, which is more than enough time for a second ship to come by and take lifeboats aboard before sending them back into the water to ferry more passengers from the stricken vessel to the rescue ship!

wait, how long have bones been building this?
Long enough where he doesn't think Blockland was a retail game when he started.

That's awesome, he really knows what he's doing when it comes to boats
I'm surprised you didn't say "welcome aboard", though  :cookieMonster:
I did greet him that way in-game, though!

Wow lol.

Do you guys have places like 3rd class/2nd/1st cabin rooms made? Or are you gonna be skipping them/building them later? I see you have most of the top places (Grand Staircase, smoking room, etc.) and the pool built.
Firstly, a small nitpick: you mean lounge, not smoking room. The smoking room is a way's aft and barely even started.

Now to answer your question: the only private room which is satisfactorily complete (aside from perhaps giving it a light switch) is the starboard side private promenade, and that's not even half of that suite! (Although this IS one of two istances of the most expensive suite type on the ship) We have the forward and aft boundaries of quite a few first class cabins marked, though.

We should be picking up the pace with the interior, though, as the exterior is pretty much actually nearing completion! Additionally, we brought StarHawk aboard the project as a dedicated interior worker, so there should be much more coming as far as interiors. We even have Demian working on cabin doors for us!

That's why I find it funny when I see people on servers who have loaded it, and I have seen people say they have built it, but it's just really funny how there are so many holes and wrong colors everywhere, and they'll be trying to fill them in, still claiming they built it. :P
We find it just as hilarious! Additionally, thanks to the dimmer lights we use, most attempted build steals also include lights which seem to randomly shine through the walls from all directions, and that are much too bright and clustered together when you see their source!

We've let a lot of these instances slide as far as drama topics go, simply because it would be too many instances to name.

It might be fun to get a list started in a drama topic, now that I think of it, though....

if he did he would have to list all the addons he used, which is really hard to do.
See my edit above.

It might be hard to do so, I guess, since there is a lot of custom bricks. But I guess they could release those with the save, I don't know.
Not only that, but we used boatshiploads of public add-ons as well, and even a custom color palette! A repertoire of the mods required for this build would be positively titanic!

Well what was the idea?
To quote Bones4, "We have our ways."

The idea here was Demian's and the work was Bones4's. I'm not even going to pretend to take any credit for the hull!

Mother of god.. about time!? (not trying to be rude)
It's that it took this long for us to find a surefire way to fill in this hull accurately.

I see you highlight the doors on the deck as new.. but what are those windows in the grand hall.. and the door with a round window. Love the look of those.
Those doors and windows are private add-ons made by Demian, specifically for this build.

I figure some of you would like to see a small update. I angled a portion of the wall near the front of the A-deck promenade to make it more accurate.

The wall that's angled now used to simply be flat with the door. I am amazed at how closely this change turned out to match plans I have!

For a brief history lesson, this angled wall was the start of the weather shielding that was done to this deck. This is actually one of the differences between Titanic and Olympic: on Olympic, this deck was a promenade that was fully open to the weather. However, it was noticed that the deck was often wet due to sea spray, so they added in this wall and enclosed the front area of the deck behind the wall with windows on the Titanic in order to keep most of the promenade dry.

Except for human error.
Do you honestly believe that the officers of a ship called the Titanic II, with much of the media, and even the public, doubting everything right down to the vessel itself (honestly, if you think the media is hyping this ship up any, you have another thing coming) would be that careless?

And besides that, Costa Concordia was very top-heavy by nature of being a cruise ship. Titanic II, on the other hand, is a much more bottom-heavy, stable vessel by nature of being an ocean liner, designed to take on the worst of not only the Atlantic Ocean, but the world's oceans, as they plan on bringing her to a lot more ports than just those in Europe and the east coast of the US.
