you know what forget it it's not like y'all will listen to reason so imma just stop opening this thread up

>You're being pretty hyperbolic.
fair

>Private security is already used in many places around the world, including America.
usually private security is used for evil forces (for example, plantation owners would use private security in the times of slavery, banana companies using it in mexican countries, etc etc) and also pretty expensive

>No matter how strict of a police state you live in, safety is always going to be your own responsibility, and police are always going to be a tertiary preventative measure against violent crime.
lamof what even supports this? it takes like a basic study or a tiny bit of logic to see that police forces decrease crime in the location they're in

>The irony is that in some places in America people ARE armed to the teeth with kevlar and shotguns because their local "highly trained scrutinized government team" takes hours to respond to active home invasions.
so the solution is to decrease the response times even more? and get rid of the countless passive and long-term benefits that the police have? police officers aren't only there to stop current crimes from continuing, but also to prevent crimes preemptively and provide a general feeling of security to people. besides, places that have people "armed to the teeth" are usually also the places that get school shootings, and that's WITH the threat of the law.

>The argument for private security doesn't solely come from a place of mistrust in police, it has it's own benefits not limited to much faster response times.
fair but that doesn't mean we can just wipe police out

>The police can remain as a government organization, as we're not advocating for anarchy.
except a lot of people are? see: the autonomous zone (which ironically but expectantly starved in 2 days).

>They can be an interface for the judicial system and will have the power to oversee private institutions to make sure they're not acting out of bounds of the law or constitution
there are already parts of the government for this but ok

>but the police street enforcer is an obsolete/outdated concept that clearly needs to be improved on.
are you gonna give any evidence to support this utterly idiotic claim?

this is how my career ends.. . z
im guessing it’s federal because of the multiple counties being involved. if it is so and not an appeal your best chance if you have the money is to find a felony lawyer that can come to a plea long before the case actually happens. around 97 percent of federal cases land before trial in plea bargains and with good reason. cases that actually go to trial court especially federal are either based on the fact that the margin between guilty and non guilty is so thin. however, it’s most likely that the defendants team is so bool of stuff that they actually believe that that margin is so thin either by delusion or manipulation via lawyer. find a good felony lawyer. chances are they already have a professional and personal relationship with the federal prosecution or district attorney(s) that they can bleed the best results and not waste time and resources in a lengthy trial. if you are broke and have to go with a public defender, your forgeted but best chances are to trust what you bring to the table and not what a overworked civil servant can

looks like you should be investing in some personal defense classes about now. if you can't make it off your couch without becoming incapacitated consider hiring a bodyguard instead
yeah because every man, woman, and child is expected to have kevlar vests and shotguns and always be awake and have a full outreach on the entire globe so the average burgler can't run off with their tv while they were sleeping and go to canada

right now the police work as an extension of the government and judicial system which means they're very close-knit with the courthouses and prosecutors. if the police become a private service then all the funding will come directly from the people. if an officer forgets up and kills an unarmed black man then the relevant parties can simply pay another police officer to have them arrested lol. obviously this is a huge simplified abstraction and needs more checks and balances in practice but in theory if you're paying the police directly as a service they're not going to beat the stuff out of you because you're a customer

bail agencies have never come under major scrutiny for their methods of capturing/killing criminals because unlike police their freedom as a citizen of the united states is at stake if they abuse their power. they don't kneel on people's neck or bust into random houses and shoot the occupants while they sleep; they gather information and make educated decisions in order to safely claim a bounty
ah yes because private corporations and freelancers are under more scrutiny than federal resources. no way people can't use freelancing police as hitmen in a place where there is by definition no law. yessirree, everyone is totally fair when it comes to choosing a freelancer and won't just choose based off of their political opinions, however genocidal they may be. yep, causing a literal purge will definitely stop violent crime from occuring, because it's definitely safer than using a definitly not heavily scrutinized government team that is totally not trained to be as impartial as possible, which totally commits "systemic racism" despite police violence occurring minimally and often to white people instead of black people. yep, it's definitely safer to give your kid an ak-47 to "protect himself" in a place where law enforcement can't exist by definition and totally won't break civilization down into a real-life baseraiders without a respawn mechanic

lemon on the chain with the v cut
yeah

1091
you're right i forgot about Men's Wearhouse Spokesman. i guess both the police and civilian vigilantes need to be disbanded
you right removing all protections against crime is definitely going to help stop criminal action

1092
seeing that police have more legal protection than diplomats and politicians, a disband wouldn't hurt too much. if anything,  the police can just contract bail enforcement agents to make arrests. unlike the police, bounty hunters typically don't get away with excessive force or unnecessary murder
everything about this is false lamof

yes

And on top of that, the democrats are gunning it for police abolition. Don't try and play some technicality card either, Minneapolis has literally voted to disband the police force.
