I mean, if it restricts your ability to walk, you're probably entitled to one of those parking spots that don't make you walk as far. If you can't work, you're entitled to receive some of the benefits that our society has set up to make sure that disabled people don't just end up homeless. There's plenty of stuff you could potentially claim for yourself that an otherwise healthy person couldn't.
Oh, but I'm not actually physically disabled yet. It's just that one of my ancestors was physically handicapped with the same disabilities and I could be disadvantaged at any time, so therefore I should receive special treatment because my genes come from less privileged origins.

Jitank is totally right! This is fantastic! I get free stuff by guilt-tripping people!

I feel for you that you have those deseases but your logic is flaw. Should gays not fight for equal rights as staight people? Women for men?
"deseases" ... "your logic is flaw"

Do you blacks not know how to spell?

In either case, fighting for legal rights through the proper debate and channels =/= saying you're affected by a terrible practice committed decades before you or your parents were born.

I have two loving diseases which I didn't choose to have that could end in a painful death; do I get to claim rights for myself because I'm not as privileged as those loving healthy white people?

Yeah, I totally remember when racism literally means slavery and vice versa. It's right there in the loving dictionary, next to "bullstuff".

Jitank, have you ever considered going back to Tumblr where your bullstuff is accepted by a bunch of babies who think that crying over the Internet about how "hard" their lives are is equal to a valid opinion?

Friendly reminder that the Indian wars continued up until 1924 in the American southwest.
1942 = Now, apparently. Thanks for the update, my good man.

The reason why I pull slavery into the conversation is because it still effects me today.
Yeah, you're loving chained up, flogged daily for "not cooperating", forced to do hard manual labour and at any point could be sold to somebody else who may be a much tougher bastard than your previous owner. And let's not forget all the rape, sickness and emotional damage.

That describes your current life pretty well, huh?

Then it shouldn't install itself.
Yeah, it's bullstuff that Windows does the auto-install, but I don't personally blame them given that there are still loving idiots in the world using Windows XP in earnest. People just stubbornly refuse, out of laziness, to get with the times even after Microsoft itself has admitted to the product being faulty (XP has far too many security holes and it only takes one for a clever bastard to exploit your system). You people realise Windows 7 was released 7 years ago, right? The entire loving original Halo trilogy was released in less time, and look how much those games advanced on each other.

It was a poor business decision (or a series of them) and I think it's pretty bad that the company pulled that bullstuff, but it's not like Microsoft is the only company to ever force software updates, and let's not forget that some companies are happy to intentionally brick devices.

Of course, people out there are going to throw around accusations of "spyware" or "forced censorship" or whatever the forget, but I'm pretty sure people make those same complaints any big company unveils any new product. At the end of the day, they just sound like luddite psychos.

Everyone keeps blaming Windows 10 when it's almost entirely due to hardware/software incompatibility that is the responsibility of those manufacturers to deal with...

You guys need to realise that there are many, many parts to a PC, and unlike a Mac, Microsoft allows enough open-endedness (at least over Apple) that there's no guarantee everything will work with everything. The only way to prevent these kinds of issues from happening would be to lock the entire platform down and put everything through intensive standards testing, which only comes at a disadvantage to end users and developers alike.

Linux is further down the line than Windows in terms of openness (and is historically closer to Apple's OS), but it's not like that platform exists without issues (that said, it has less software than it has issues). If people want to use that, go ahead, but I still think Windows is the strongest platform and a lot of the "problems" from this launch come from years of bad programming and habits which Microsoft is starting to dust its hands of by removing a lot of the backwards compatibility and workarounds for.

music sucks, doesn't carry that awesome cyberpunk feel the original tracks did. orchestral music just doesn't work for me here.
Totally agree, would have preferred a Cyberpunk theme.

the audio log was automatic and the door code was written on the wall..? considering how important audio logs were in the original two games I'm assuming these two things were only done for the pre-alpha.
I'm not embarrassed to admit that I actually didn't see the code on the wall that's right next to the panel and spent 3 minutes looking around the level for an audio diary or email for the code. I don't think it was physically possible for me to register the puzzle being that easy.

I REALLY loving hate the "stop and admire the thing you just picked up" mini cutscene bullstuff that plagues modern first-person games. bethesdoom pulled the same stuff (though it was avoidable in that game if you turned auto weapon switching off). taking away control from the player in a first-person game is one of the worst possible things you can do.
100%, thank you for this. I forgot to complain about this but it is absolutely bullstuff.

Developers forgot that making games is about making games, not movies.

using ladders is also loving terrible.
THIS! The ladder movement was just pain in the arse. I actually skipped all downward ladder movement on my second runthrough (the game crashed because of FRAPS). It was actually a disadvantage (a moment of "fake difficulty" if you will) because they put a spider at the bottom of the ladder and so you might as well just shoot it from the top or jump down and shoot it from behind.

  • The demo was very short, probably not even 10 minutes long. That's not necessarily bad but there wasn't much room to make judgement.
  • Combat was...unresponsive. Melee combat only involves one type of attack (you can't block or do heavy/light attacks) and so revolves around swinging, moving back and then rinse and repeat. The laser gun felt underpowered and inconsistent (different enemies of the same type took wildly different amounts of shots to kill).
  • The music was fine, except for when the horror music played after you switched on the lights and the enemies were gone.
  • The textures were blurry, and there were very few graphics options (also, using the default Unity UI textures?). I felt like the game had been set into LOD1 the entire time, which detracted from the otherwise gorgeous visuals.
  • There was apparently an email listed in the UI, but no way to read it.
  • I thought the ending should have involved SHODAN, since we didn't get enough of that classic aspect of the series.
  • Felt the character dialogue was unnecessary and underdone.
  • Overall felt like the demo was a far too linear, whereas System Shock is famous for its open levels that are ripe for exploration.

Still very interested in the final game, but it needs a LOT of work before hand.

McJobless made me get banned saying Brazillians had tiny snakees (WHO CARES?!)
So, are you confirming that you have a tiny snake?

On topic; this guy was funny, but slowly and surely he has become more annoying as his confidence in posting has grown. He needs a serious timeout in the naughty corner for a good three years before he posts again. Remove him and be done with it.

Sure if you want to be technical and include all the states of america on their own individual laws on gun control.

Or you can stop being so literal and take fact in knowing that SOME states can allow you to buy a gun faster than you can trade a 2 cent TF2 crate.
Oh, so you're allowed to ignore all the the states that have a longer than 15+ day waiting period, but I'm not allowed to ignore all the handicaps without a mobile authenticator? Because with the MA, you can buy/sell goods on the market in seconds.

You're a loving idiot mate, and I suggest you stop before you embarrass yourself further.

How? It is faster to buy a gun.
Ah, but you said that it only applies to some states. Therfore, if I'm in a state where there's a 15+ day waiting period, I'd need to pack up my stuff, move to the new state, register with every service that my address has changed (including the ID I need to buy the gun), and then apply for the waiting time.

Somehow, I feel like that takes more than 15 days.

Meanwhile, it takes literally 2 minutes to loving download the Steam app, login and start using the mobile authenticator. You're just a lazy cunt, possibly a troll, and it's rather amazing to see the same person who said "love is just chemicals in the brain" or some stuff get so confused by a bit of modern technology.

Steam can't provide any security without ruining it for everyone
Their system is ultimate laziness
I didn't think it was possible to sound like a twat as much as you have with this post. Well done, mate.

Halo 2 has waaaaaaaay less powerful modding tools. You won't be seeing a Halo 2 overhaul on this scale for a long time, if ever.
Before Halo 1 OpenSauce, Kornman00 and FieryScythe were already working on opening up the H2EK, similar to how they had unlocked the HEK. They eventually stopped because, despite all the nice features, it was just taking too long.

Halo 2 supports a lot more cool stuff than Halo 1, and while OpenSauce has allowed for more cool stuff (like vehicle boarding and more particle effects) in H1, it doesn't support everything that Blam! 2 had.

the app is so terrible takes loving ages
I've had literally no issues running the app on my Xperia Z1 Compact or my sister's iPhone 5. Are you sure that it's not your phone being a piece of stuff?
