Seems like that should be in more of a design document format than a spreadsheet format...
Currently just quickly jotting down what I need. I plan on building a full on documentation resource with the goals and specifics of each source file once I know how they all generally link into each other.

It almost seems like you need to know the SQ4R thing to read the SQ4R thing
Congratulations, my friend. You've ascended from Comedy Bronze to Comedy Gold, and you have SQ4R to thank for it.

Keeping this topic alive. Here's something I posted in the GD topic, but it's more about programming.

Ratchet & Clank 3 is a complex game, as I've discovered. I'm currently working on building a framework by reprogramming the entirety of Ratchet & Clank 3 from scratch in Unity, and I've started mapping out what systems need to be made.

I'm not aiming for complete accuracy (for example, I'm happy to have a different solution for dealing damage to an enemy vs. the original programmers, so long as the result is the same between my framework and the game). I'm just looking to get something extendible.

So, it's time to talk about some of the initial design challenges of this project. Because I've been carefully planning out my work before starting, I've realised where a lot of difficulty will lie. Firstly, here's an overview of the code classes I've planned which I think I'll need. Right now, this is only for ACTOR types (i.e. objects that are spawnable in-game).

That's probably very complex, but keep in mind that it's not finished. There's still many scripts I need to plan out for specific world objects, and I haven't even detailed the System/Data scripts yet that handle all the behind-the-scenes code.

I've posted some stuff about the big 4 current design challenges I'm facing in this post if you'd like to read more.

I really suck at learning, so finding methods to help me would be great.

I couldn't even concentrate trying to read through this. From what I understand, however, it does nothing to fix the problems and instead is a much more tedious way of learning.

also whoever voted PS4 instead of ps2 I will find you and kill you
The PS2 was an amazing console at the time but when you come back to it, it really lacks a lot of nice features.

The current gen consoles are more like multimedia hubs, combining Internet, DVD/Blu-Ray, gaming and other functionality into a convenient box that requires very little setup or maintenance. That's why there's a strong market for consoles, because otherwise you might as well just buy a PC with Windows 10 and turn on touchscreen mode.

Sure, I loved the PS1 and PS2 both when they were all I had, but I think it's really a contest between the PS3 and PS4. The PS3, if you ignore technical capability, is a little outdated now in terms of multimedia features, but it's still a worth machine.

I can't vote until I get my PS4, though. I've only handled developer kits, and they're a bit different to a standard PS4.

I realized I have to make a game, do you guys have any advice for learning unity?
Unity is great for hobbyists or people who want to rapidly prototype something.

Before anything else, start with the Unity tutorials on their website:

http://unity3d.com/learn/tutorials

Do Roll-a-Ball first, then do all of the Programming lessons.

From that point forward, give yourself a tiny goal (such as move a box 20 meters to the left; you might want to do something more complex but this is just as an example), break that down into specific instructions (for you to implement it and for the computer to perform when the game runs) and then work on each instruction one at a time.

For example;

Your Instructions: You'd create a box, create a script and then in the script add the ability to work with the box, and then add the movement code, then put the code onto an object in the scene that can use it.
Computer Instructions: Know how much to move the box by and know which box to move -> When the game starts -> Move that box by the amount I said

Work in C#, as this will help when you learn other game systems such as XNA and FMOD. Use the Unity documentation! I cannot stress this enough! Also, avoid using .FindObjectInScene() or any variation of it unless you absolutely need it. It takes up a lot of performance and there's much better ways to do these things.

Work slow, and gradually build your confidence. Make bigger and more interesting tasks. Never be afraid to take free assets from the Asset Store, and get into the habit of reading and picking apart other coder's code. Comment every bit of code you write, and make your own documentation as it will help you memorise what you're doing.

It's going to take a while, but you'll get there.

Why did it take you so long to break up with her?
There were plenty of signs to break up with her, and the fact she cheated on you and you didn't break up is even more said.
She was in with a lot of people I know. If I broke up with the "suicidal" chick, I would have been made a right loving twat. She was also very good a guilt-tripping and made sure she was getting the correct type of attention before she laid something heavy on me, and I was much less cynical back then.

The cheating thing I let slide because at the time the way she worded it made it seem like he was more responsible and she was just drunk (at the time I was starting with my alcohol problems so I wasn't about to become a hypocrite and get angry at her for doing the same stuff I could have done). With the whole lesbian side relationship thing now out in the open, I'm now fairly certain that was all bullstuff too.

Maybe I thought I was doing a good thing by helping out somebody who I felt was disadvantaged.

This troublesome twat must have been a big fan of the hospital staff, because she was always going there with her varied and failed Self Delete attempts (read: cries for attention, because I can guarantee she's not that loving depressed). You'd think someone in that kind of state would be more open to therapy and medication, but apparently she had her own plans for ruling the world and was instead intent on taking everybody else the forget out.

What do I mean? Why, she was a big fan of breaking into Primary Schools, breaking windows and stealing food. She also had no concept that the bus is a shared space, favouring yelling at the top of her lungs with her drunk buddies. Hell, I think I caught her stealing stuff one time.

Serious talk, what pissed me off most was how she was forcing me to ditch my friends, and when I told her to piss off, she got extremely angry and wouldn't talk to me for a few days. Like, she was getting angry at me because I liked my friends and I wasn't about to get rid of them for some slut.

My favourite bit of the relationship was when she cheated on me once, did the whole apology spiel that I was stupid enough to buy, and down the road she said that I need to stop going to college so I could have love with her every day, and when I told her to "forget off" she took that as a literal instruction and broke up with me. She then went ahead and screwed up two more relationships and got kicked out of her home and the place she was renting.

Oh, fun fact. She also had a lesbian girlfriend while we were dating and never once told me about it. And the night before the breakup she tried hitting on one of my best friends.

Why is everyone so defensive over the fuggin madmen corp building? Do you guys keep golden coke bales in there?
Because it's part of the goddam RP. A secretive ISP that's clearly doing horrible things and has its own private militia.

Occasionally we open up for business, but we usually close when there's too many richardheads RDMing, not many of our "employees" are online or if we're doing heavy building.

I have a feeling you don't know what Blockland is. It's not about loving banning people because they enter an admin only area. Jesus loving christ, at least get some loving restrictions or something.
You sound like a right richardhead. Kreon's server isn't a loving standard Blockland server where everybody can freely build and kill, it's an RP server. The game rules are different and the server host and moderators have the right to run the server the way they feel. If you don't feel like playing ball, you can forget off.

Also, it's not an admin-only area because it's not owned by the admin staff. The server staff just assume you have enough intelligence to understand that it might not be good play to go and break into other people's buildings, but apparently you two want to be special little princesses who operate by their own rules and logic.
