xbox is superior

(All the really good screenshots of R&C3's amazing particle effects and the greater number of AI units were blurry as forget)

Running in 60FPS. More weapons than Halo. More colours than Halo. More depth, gameplay and challenge. Ratchet also introduced achievements (called "Skill Points") and online multiplayer 6 days before Halo 2.

They're both some of my favourite games and I love them both, but Ratchet & Clank 3 is simply better.

The PS2 has the Ratchet games, Persona 4, Burnout 3: Takedown and backwards compatibility with the PS1 library.

I like both and I like several of their exclusives and multiplatforms, but ultimately the PS2 had/has the better library.

Not all of them, but the most memorable mentions. Maybe later I'll update with the Top 50 instead of Top 36.

My favourite game of all time is Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal.

Game theory is more based around figuring out more about the world and story that the storytelling did not show.
Game Theory is about the philosophical, psychological and mathematical ramifications of video games. We develop theories as to how games work with people's minds and then develop strategies on how to better reach people.

The "Game Theory" you people talk about is much less entertaining, interesting and relevant.

Captain Killjoy here. Since I don't like game "theory" (in the bullstuff way people are now using it), I'm going to add a bit of actual logic.

actual game: takes 50 bullets and dont even feel it

cutscene: takes a bb and dies
Gameplay/Story-Segregation, usually caused by a stubborn writer who either doesn't care, or isn't working alongside the level design team.

What was the point in giving Thel the rank of the Arbiter if the prophets are just going to betray him when Thel gets the Icon in halo 2?
They thought he was going to die on the Heretic station. He didn't. Then the Elites failed to protect Regret, and so Mercy and (mainly) Truth decided that the Elites were useless, and that included the Arbiter. The point at which they decided to betray him was just before the public "exchange of hats".

How was officer Tennpenny not arrested after making deals with the Ballas in GTA: San Andreas?
Because corrupt cops exist in real life, and I'm sure many people have gotten away with similar stuff. If you remember that police have been bought out by the mafia at various stages in different countries, it makes it more plausible that a crooked cop can get away with dirty behaviour.

If animals witness your crimes in skyrim, you get bounty.
Gamebryo is a stuffty engine and there are limited groupings for NPCs. That means animals will catch out your stuff in the same way the Ye Olde Riot Squad will.

Archer in FF Tactics: Charging an attack. If they don't move, archer will fire straight at them.
If they move one space towards you... archer arcs the arrow over them to hit the empty tile.

And this isn't like a "logic makes it no fun situation" either like, why can't the archer just hit the target instead of being one of the most useless classes.
The attack is locked to the space, not the unit, when the archer starts charging. Most likely a limitation/bug in the engine over a feature/rule.

blockland: where the forget are we getting all these bricks
Any shooter game (barring a few): Where the hell are the weapons stored?
Hammerspace. In other words; an inventory which is stored within your computer's RAM.

in games where you have a oxygen meter, how the forget can you hold your breath for that long without serious training
The designer has measured out a specific time value to ensure that you have a decent chance of surviving whatever water-challenges you will face.

Why does roman from gta iv want to go bowling so much?
Rockstar QA didn't know, nor understand how to test for player frustration over long periods of play, so they could never dial in the right values for how frequent friends should call you (which, to be fair, you need in order to access special benefits). I actually get more calls from Little Jacob.

why are shotguns more effective at long range than snipers in battlefield 4?
Since I can't comment on real-world performance, it's likely an oversight either by the developer or you're misconstraining things.

why can't you take an assault rifle and a submachine gun in left 4 dead  instead of having to wield an assault rifle and a pistol/melee weapon
Not sure, but it might be because they're tied to the same class? It's been so long since I've played L4D that I'm not even sure of what exactly you're talking about.

How would you walk with a shotgun along your leg?
The shotgun has no mass or collision when not active.

in fps's you can unload about 30 rockets into a wooden door and it still won't break
The door is imbued with the magical power of "forgetOFF". In other-words, it's solid because the designers needed to prevent you from getting there but wanted to add a bit of variety to the backgrounds.

A better question is why there are no ally grunts or hunters in Halo 3, despite many of them siding with the elites during the civil war in Halo 2. Even if it was just a minority who revolted in 2, there should still be at least a few in Halo 3 but instead there are only ally elites.
I actually never figured out the story justification, but in terms of the engine; enemies between maps are completely different. While there are some shared assets, a large majority of the sounds, models, textures etc are specific to each map. It'd be too costly to make friendly variations (and you would need new textures, because otherwise they'd be too easy to confuse with the enemy ones). The Flood make an interesting variation, since they temporarily aide you before going back to being enemies in one level.

why is steve? able to punch trees to death with his bare hands
If you had no ability to gather materials at the start of the game, you would never be able to work your way up the progression tree and you would be frustrated.

in  half-life 2 episode 2: final battle: defending against the striders, the npcs don't do any damage against the striders, even with rockets.
For the same reason allies in the LEGO Star Wars can't deal damage; the designers want you to do the work so that you feel proud for making the kill.

Why do NPCs in Hitman shoot you in the face for running in the street, playing with a light switch, setting off a metal detector, or entering the wrong bathroom?
The programmers didn't really cover advanced detection behaviour or a "suspicion mode"; instead, the AI is designed so that if it notices you doing anything "suspicious" they immediately go into attack mode.

Why can't I grow a plant that grows into orbit?
Not familiar with the game in question, but I assume it's because the designers wanted to create interesting challenge (and also prevent you from breaking outside level geometry) by using real life rules to dictate player actions.

They'll grow out of harrasing you.
It's not harassment to reveal to somebody that their cherished game is actually one of the greatest sins in game design and should be wiped off the face of the planet.

Why can't I jump from a ladder into a table in WWE 2k15? I just fall through the table every time
Collision is difficult, expensive and unpredictable.

In FPS games, Do allied NPCs actually do any damage when shooting or are they just there for decoration
In almost all FPS games, your AI buddies will do the work for you and on easier difficulty settings you can actually just sit back and leave them to clear the room out. They do that so they can put in harder/more enemies and make a more challenging scenario for you.

In games like the LEGO adaptational games, your AI buddies either do no damage (The LEGO Star Wars games) or will kill everybody except the last person in the room (and then they stand around, which looks absolutely hilarious).

But why the forget does it work that way?
Because the action logic is more important than the scientific justifications. So long as the rules work in the player's head and remain consistent, all is good in the world.

australian here, can confirm. felt safer in the streets of atlanta at night than the average WA traino at 6pm
I wouldn't touch anything West of the NSW Western Suburbs with an Apache Helicopter.

That said, most of those drunk bogans are fairly harmless.
