I've got a Gainward GTX 980, which pretty much runs at stock for a GTX 980 and yet managed to run most games at 4K DSR, so the EVGA should be a loving beast.

I'm not going to repeat my "How the brain works"/Fun & Learning rant again, but basically, mental development really is just doing practice, over and over on specific types of challenges. That said, you need to make it "fun" for yourself. I don't mean funny or happy or entertaining; I mean that you need to be able to "want" to do the things you're doing, kind of like when you play video games, go for a drive, cook a meal for yourself etc; aka, you have to give yourself a purpose/reason why a certain activity is important, and unless you're a sociopath with no emotional attachment, you need to make yourself emotionally driven into doing that activity.
Ever since I read "A Theory of Fun", I've begun studying a lot of psychology and philosophy. I've got a whole new mindset on how the world works. I'll likely never become an artist or a mathematician, but I can now explain very interesting concepts on why we as humans are in the current state we're in, and I've got some ideas on how I would like to change the education and political systems in order to "better" society.

Unless you were to round down, which is a bit silly, 1/93 is a (slightly) greater percentage, and not equal to 1/100.

Is it a situation like with optical drives where specs don't matter that much, or should I be paying more for higher bitrates?Check the signal range, and read reviews to make sure that the antennas are good quality and won't be blocked by a single wall or a piece of cardboard (some really cheap ones can't have anything in the way, or network connection quality drops like all hell). Also check what PCI-E slot it requires.
EhhJust check if that motherboard supports PCI-E 3.0 (Google the technical specs for the motherboard), but I don't see any *immediate* problems. What power supply are you getting/do you have?
Since the season of giving is coming I'm going to buy GTX 750 but is this motherboard compatible with it?
