Chernobyl was because they were doing pretty much everything wrong, ignoring safeties, while possibly drunk.
Fukushima was damaged by an earthquake and tsunami.

Nuclear reactors are very carefully designed not to explode. Nuclear bombs have to be carefully designed specifically to explode, radioactive materials aren't explosive by themselves.

trust me i know, i soaked up chernobyl and fukushima info and documentaries and articles like a sponge for years

you have to understand the corporate corruption inside the US nuclear plants

there are extremely tight regulations, but the companies that own the plants stretch them to their breaking point, cutting corners wherever they can without triggering the NRC

the problem with fukushima was not an earthquake and tsunami as all the other plants survived it

the problem was the companies that owned it ignoring MULTIPLE warnings to raise the sea-wall because it would cost them too much money

the plants were completely safe and under control after the earthquake until the tsunami hit

deaths are low and power production is high but as soon as a forgetup happens a MASSIVE amount of land is contaminated for hundreds of thousands of years and the water and food is all at risk for hundreds of miles around it

i dont think anyone disputes coal has a higher impact on environment. even "clean coal" still burns and creates smoke/gases.

as for your graph, it should have it scaled to # of workers in said energy field. i'd imagine there's far fewer nuclear powerplant workers than coal miners + coal burning powerplant workers.

yeah that is true and i'll agree thats a problem but the need to move away from coal is undeniable and im sick of people defending it only because its their soul source of income

if its been clear that people want to move away from it for years now dont you think you'd start assessing other career choices, or begin to move over to something similar

i dont want to advocate for nuclear because id rather advocate for solar and wind but i cant possibly perceive why people might be against coal

but if that's the case then why the forget doesn't the other officer move in and clear while one stays on the suspect

This is pretty easy to say when youre a cop in life and death situation where a person could be reaching for a firearm that could kill you

And besides he would have been collected if he had nothing to hide in the first place.

Actually, if it looks like you are grabbing a gun when you are really "pulling up your shorts", they don't know if you are armed or not.

you kind of missed the whole point of the article. national socialist Germany and the holocaust are pretty dark subjects, many parents I'm sure would be interested to know how their children are being taught about these things. being told to draw silly comics is not the best way to go about it imo. The memey national socialist bronies are not exactly the focus here, it's the way this assignment was poorly structured, people think it's trivializing the holocaust.
