money laundering is a felony too, but you aren't going to tackle someone over it as soon as you see them. mostly because it will do absolutely no good. they're not robbing a bank or stealing a car. it already happened, and you're not going to stop it by tackling them. cops don't get to choose who to rough up based on how "scummy" they think the crime wasI guess? but the point is that this isn't just a mistake

it's not just a mistake at that point. it's a simple mistake added to an objectively bad decision, and if you think that expecting cops to make good decisions is an "unbelievable [sic] stupid thing to think" then I guess we're all really lucky that you're not in charge of training police officers
