I tried this just now, and I saw nothing different. This could be because the dll is on an ssd, but I doubt that. Maybe only you got that issue. Good that you found it and I do hope that there's users that might find this useful.

Add-Ons / Re: Blockland Glass 3.2.1

I didn't do this at first, but there seems to be no way to control client and server restarts independently. For example, it's completely fine to update new dup before you start a server, but it's not a good idea to randomly update it on a running dedicated server.

I also thought what would happen if you're already connected to a server and receives an update that will change server data, like datablocks, if it will force the client to disconnect or if it will "automatically reload" (Ha! Don't think so!).

I created an issue here.

Looks really good. Code is structured and all old things are removed. You did a great job.

o i have 5 keys

alternatively you could parent the auth function and make your server accept yourself as any blid

I have a better solution. But enough about that, because this thread is being derailed and I rather not do that to this thread. It's just too good.

I'm probably late, but do you need a guinea pig?

I think it is the wrong place to ask it, as this is not my thread. But I think this should answer your question:

Code: (Changelog) [Select]
Added support for Trust system.
Added compatibility code for New Duplicator.

i just open more blocklands and connect to my own server
In this case I needed two independent bl_ids with the ability to enable and disable trust with each other.

By the way, I'm getting download failed errors when I try to download a file from here in Firefox. Might want to look at that.

Bug has been issued. I made a manual fix for everyone's files. I would recommend to refrain from uploading until this issue have been fixed.

Edit: I've found and resolved the issue. Feel free to continue upload as usual.

Also are packs acceptable? By that I mean, is it alright to have a .zip file that contains 20 add-ons that the player needs to place into their add-ons folder themselves?
For the moment, no. But it is indeed an interesting concept to make packs of add-ons.

Bring us something new, maybe a community build-save website where users can share entire builds, or props. IE: Trees, furniture, etc.

As mentioned in the topic, that is something I plan to add in the future. I need this site first so I can expand to that later on.

Blockland Repository

Introduction
There have been several attempts to create a place for this demanding community to manage Add-Ons created for Blockland. Most of them have ended up with an overcomplicated mod, a poorly designed website or non-dedicated moderators. Most of these projects eventually died, for one reason or another, leaving the user with nothing. I am dedicated to keeping this project of mine alive for as long as there is demand from the community. I present to you:

Blockland Repository
(blockland.aposoc.net)
DISCLAIMER
This is a work in progress. It may and will
change over time until base lines is satisfactory.

Description
In its core, Blockland Repository is made with collaboration in mind. The stuff we do on this project will help you to distribute your created content to the user. It also makes it possible for you to share it with only those you want to share it with without having it displayed publicly. When you upload your Add-On, the server will scan through it for errors, problems and anything that could be noted and then tell you about this and then suggest a possible action for each issue. These actions could normally be that you ask the server to handle them for you.

This project is aimed only on the hosting part. The server hosting the project will only handle what it is asked for. If any mod wants a list of a specific Add-On, the server will hand it to it. If any other server wants to communicate with a server, they will happily share the information requested. The API implemented is based on Add-On Updater.

On top of this there is a few, but powerful, tools for moderation to handle Add-Ons. The system will mostly rely on the user to take action in deciding how good an add-on is. Either directly or indirectly.

There is a server up and running that should only be used to test. I can ensure the safety of your credentials, but I cannot ensure that everything uploaded there will still be there after each update. When we reach Beta, this may change. If you find a bug or something that fells off, please do tell me about it.

Current Status
It is currently in its Alpha stage. You can only register, login, upload an add-on and then browse and download it. It got more in the background, but that is way too much to go into in this single post. We do need more people that would like to try out something new. If you demand one functionality, I'm all ears for you to implement it if you are capable of doing so.

Future Plans
There's plenty of things that I want to add to this project. Therefore I made a tidy list that maybe explains everything of the main functionalities I want do add.
  • Add-On verification and modification
    • Script verification
  • Server-to-server Add-On sharing
  • Add-On content viewer
  • Save(bls) hosting
    • Add-On and colorset recommendation

Add-Ons / Re: Blockland Glass 3.2.0

I just want to report a bug or something: Sometimes I crash when accepting friend requests on Blockland Glass.
The friend request is accepted(the friend is on my friend list when starting up Blockland again), however it doesn't say anything but crash me when I accept, not sure about decline.

I had a similar crash and have reported it. I've just recently made a pull request and hopefully it should fix the issue. It worked for me at least.

Edit: And it was just approved. Awaiting for next released version to pop up.

Modification Help / Re: Saving Info in files

However, you may find it more efficient to store values in individual files per BLID. It really depends on how often the file needs to be opened and closed. If it's something that loads only once, a single file should be fine. If you need to dynamically save and load each time a player joins or leaves, then separate files be user will be more efficient.

This was my intention with Saver, but people didn't get it. However, saving a bunch of people at the same time did impact performance.

Add-Ons / Re: [Event] Apartment - Landlord like a boss

Code: (Changelog) [Select]
Now makes proper use of enabled events.

Add-Ons / Re: [Event] Apartment - Landlord like a boss
« on: November 24, 2016, 04:18:11 PM »
Code: (Changelog) [Select]
Added support for Trust system.
Added compatibility code for New Duplicator.

Due to this, it is recommended to avoid having more than one owner for each apartment. Relying on the trust system alone should be sufficient.

Add-Ons / Re: New Duplicator 1.6.1 | One Year Already!
« on: November 24, 2016, 04:06:52 PM »
Well, originally that's all it was used for. But ask yourself, why are there even two functions?
I figured it's a way to tell other mods "don't mess with this brick like you normally do"

When I worked with RP Content, onLoadPlant didn't even exists, but I needed such functionality. I used it to determine when the server was loading and then just plant the bricks, while when I planted it manually I checked if you have permission to plant the brick. Because when it's already planted, you don't need to check those permissions when you load the save. Therefore, I need to check when you load the brick so the bricks belongs to the right owner.

Dup always sets %brick.client to a valid object before calling plant, but default loading sets it to -1. So you could tell them apart that way.
This might be the solution. Sorry for asking for so much about this. But I got myself to blame when I came up with this hacky system.

Noedit: I tested it found it working. Thank you once again.
