Fearful of the plague, Romekate citizens come first. Until the plague enters major remission, contact and trade with Seris is to be largely severed. Kyrev is watched for signs of the plague extending to them, and Gruzia is asked to also isolate itself from Seris. Many in New Romekate count their blessings when the newspaper rolls in mentioning these actions, one of the paragraphs leaving a curt remark on how lucky New Romekate is to be upstream and not down. These events, and also due to the advancements in Arcon, convince Öln that it is indeed time to answer his country's plea for better hygiene systems. Actions are taken to assure all drinking water is clean, and work begins in cities to introduce methods of removing refuse at an industrial scale via lead pipes feeding an underground stuff-cbrown town that leads to an emptying point a small ways away from the city, where the sewage is irrigated into sorted pits, dried, burned, dried and mixed with sand, and burned some more before the now not-so-smelly filth is collected in stuffwagons and carted off to the desert wastes to the southwest of Sonodine. Light research concerning the option of feces as fuel for power generation is looked into.
The three inventors of note are awarded as if each had won "first place", and are offered good housing and a salary should they choose to continue their work within New Romekate. Their existing work is too primitive to be implemented on a large scale, but the potential is obvious. They shall also be granted research teams, assuming their work is continued in New Romekate.
New Romekate begins pushing its IOS influence in favour of the Arconian request.
Xeichi, Sonodite and Sunyong refugees living abroad are called out as New Romekate desires their return. Unless they're Serisian. The New Romekate banner is not a single culture's calling card, as was Romek-Inen's, but a unifying image of the great Middle cultures that occupy the realm. Religions are irrelevant, of course.
