Well, I see it under agriculture and terrain, most of that land is unfarmable and mountainous, E.G. like Japan IRL.

For example, if you look at Russia on a map, it seems enormous, however its actual population is just above Japan and far, far below the U.S.

Also to mention, this is my first time doing any sort of Geopolitical/Risk style game on a forum, so any advice or warnings would be appreciated.

romek-inen started with nothing but desert and desert mountains

and a volcano

but they weren't that big, they had to conquer an entire foreign nation plus cut another one in half and then build up the land between the three realms in order to grow into new romekate

i'd feel cheated if someone can just join and say "im this big now k"

3527
also that's a really big starting size just saying

yeah that's incredibly huge

also, it's a recolored ruthenia from eu4...

Federalism is implemented within New Romekate. Feudal concepts begin to enter the furnace as the Junker starts to become a position of democratically influenced regional authority, rather than a minor sovereign power.

The sciences are reformed as well, replacing what antiquated concepts were in use with western thought.

A nobleman named Falknir Yttengard starts to experiment with plant breeding to produce a hybrid of date fruits that can better tolerate the rocky soil of the upper hills.

what the actual stuff

sometimes i find high quality pictures but when i hyperlink 'em on here their quality reduces by like ten fold

should be fixed now

Öln begins quietly constructing a democratic system of voting in the Königsvorstand's members. The Königsvorstand is simply the König's board of ministers and the chancellor, who acts as the personal right hand man to the König and his regent when the König cannot rule.

The populace at large is to be able to vote in its members, however the König holds a 15% vote sway. This is a non-issue when there are more than two candidates for a position, because the alternative vote is offered in elections.

Because you just armed yourself with weapons that are somewhat outdated.  That's all.  You're at the upper part of two stars, but not quite three.

Arconian military officials begin working with the Serisian naval representatives, and find, as a result of good examination, that a good amount of the Arconian fleet is outdated.  Although this is a prosperous time for the nation, and a time of peace, Arcon diverts some of its funding to the military, mostly the navy.  A generous, though not excessive budget is laid out for reforming the navy, and Seris is given the green light in the matter of reform.

With the completion and successful test of the Arco-Conservatian rifle, Arcon gives the green light to allow manufacturers to continue production, though with the new specifications.  After 20,000 units are produced in Arcon for Arconian training services, production will be made for the Baytiyyad Caliphate.  Lord Lespérance travels to the caliphate in order to negotiate a change in the contract, specifically for lowering the contracted charges imposed under the contract by the caliphate for Arcon to produce rifles domestically, since the specifications that allowed the rifle to work were of Arconian make.

Arcon also would like to request a list of nations that is permitted to buy the rifle.

Arcon reaches out to New Romekate and would like to establish formal trades, specifically for Romek's iron, granite, marble and coal in exchange for coffees, teas, wheat, barley, millet, olives, dates and lentils.  Arcon would also like to sample the obsidian mined from Mt. Koganmordad.  In addition, a primary railroad is proposed to go from Sounotte to Sonodine City, Shasta, and eventually end up in Collineville.  Other lines will be extended from and connected to it, but this is the beginning proposition that Arcon would like to explore, should Romekate be willing.

accepted

Infantry are assigned jobs as escorts, protecting trade caravans.
Cavalry are configured and equipped with gear optimized for bandit butchering.
The New Romekate army is mobilized for the first time, however not in a large scale manner. The goal is to crack down on crime in the frontier while better methods of transport are worked on thanks to Arconian and Serisian efforts.

Swimming pools are hereby outlawed. You rich starfishs. We don't live on a marsh, don't waste our drinking water.

Privately owned water supplies are to be partially allocated to those living in poverty if they pass a threshold wherein they can be replenished 4.5x faster than the owner(s) can consume it. Unless there are two owners, in which case the multiplier is 3.5x. Three or more owners have a multiplier of 2.5x.

This means that a man and woman can own a water supply capable of keeping 7 people hydrated, for example, before having to give their dehydrated neighbours subsidies. Alternatively, they can pay a tax that exponentially increases based off of how much water they have beyond the legal limit.
Anyone found to be merging their water supplies without considering it a single water supply in order to reduce the multiplier are heavily fined and 3/4 of the water supply is confiscated and divided amongst the poor.

Note that the multiplier, as stated before, is based off of replenishment rates - if a man saves enough water, he can have 23,357,801,506 litres of water. If he manages to prevent its evaporation, contamination or theft that is. And lives long enough to save it up.

Those currently violating the new laws are given a week to downscale their supplies before action is taken against them.
Those who are found to be blobbing a water supply up by saying a group of peasants have access to it, for example, while not actually allowing their access are arrested and put on trial.
Peasants are encouraged to report if they've been forced into one of these "agreements".

new romekate begins looking for affordable foreign contractors to help plan out and construct railways in sonodine and sunyong in order to make the food route flow quicker than it does currently, relying on horse-drawn carriages
