Gus prepares for the move. As well as wrapping up his admittedly short instruction in the medbay, he heads to Lt. Colonel Kibble's office to inquire further about the abrupt - and permanent - transfer. He knocks on her door after being waved in by a secretary - with a start, he realises this might be his first voluntary visit to Kibble's office since Tocatlan.

"Let us know what we can do, if there is anything. After Tocatlan, most of Mjolnir just wanted space and some time to think and heal, but...sometimes its good to talk to someone."

Gus rubs his chin, brown furrowed in worry.

"I'll keep that in mind, I suppose."

The warning makes him realize how alert and seemingly calm Xiaomei is.

"And how about you? They had everyone fly back earlier this morning, no? For a few hours of sleep, you seem fine, yesterday considered."

"I suppose I sort of figured."

The mental image of a Kraken returns to his mind as it wanders back to Svirask.

"How are they holding up?"

His voice is barely audible.

Gus gathers a tray of breakfast food and heads to sit at Raiden's table. He considers sitting next to Tippy for a moment, but chooses instead to sit next to Xiaomei considering the former's state. He seats himself quietly and remains silent as more Mjolnir members arrive. After watching Jaakko take his seat, Gus turns to Xiaomei and speaks quietly.

"Well," he sighs. "How'd it go?"

Gus fills out the paperwork promptly and returns it to the nurse, then heads to the gym.
