It seems I added you in haphazardly. I tried to judge the best I could on whether or not people were instigating or just joining in on a laugh. If I recall correctly, I only added you in because yours was the first, but that's probably not as big as I thought it was. If you didn't mean any harm, that's cool, but an apology would still go a long way, even if it's just apologizing for those who took your joke too far.

GJ forums. You ran a user out of the forum because he had doubts that someone was dead, after he apologized and owned up to his mistake.

It's not their fault really, just a misunderstanding.

I told Mario to removing the leaving from his post in my own PM, so hopefully he can change it before he gets banned.

I'd like to start off by apologizing for being the major buzzkill I know I'm being, but I feel really bad for Mario, and I want to see what I could do to convince him that we aren't as bad as he thinks we are.

Mario has been here for around two years, and most of his posts are in Help, General Discussion, and S&R. From the looks of his posts, he really isn't mean, and he is active in the in-game Blockland community.

I'm not above a good laugh, and I understand how great a joke can be when it's compounded the way this one was, but I'm at least asking the users above to send Mario a PM apologizing for the jokes made. It'll take around two seconds, and it'll mean a lot to a member of our community.

the only downsize to being vulnerable here is the people who are way too willing to exploit people's vulnerabilities in order to sound funny or cool

while i know their ridicule may seem harmless, it breeds insecurities, and causes people to unhealthily hide parts of themselves in appeal to the community they love. it is my belief that this ridicule ultimately hurts both the speaker and the community as a whole.

like some other guys in this thread said, Kishgal, you're productive, you're smart, you're creative, you don't need to prove how cool you are to us with the one-upmanship you're showing, and i think it's reasonable to say that if you (and anyone else who may share these attitudes) could just drop the whole cool guy routine, we could really move towards becoming a more secure community

and i'm sorry for pointing out you specifically for all of this because i know you're not the only one, but i think this needed to be said at one point or another

i know this whole love and peace message might be cloying to some, but it's my current opinion on all of this, and i think the message holds value regardless of how much i sounded like a friend in typing it
