General Discussion / What type of RPG would you like to see?
« on: June 14, 2016, 06:02:34 PM »
No, not like City RPGs but the type of RPGs like: Fallout, World of Warcraft, Destiny, Etc.
If you could see a type of RPG in blockland, what would it be? Please give us a theme("Medieval", "Future Post Apocalyptic!") as opposed to a specific game. We are trying to avoid the general blockland RPG, that is mining for eternity.

Tell me your favorite paradoxes! I'll go first.

Ship of Theseus: In this paradox, you are a sailor, and you are on a ship going across the sea to some place. On your journey, your ship falls apart, and you happened to bring all of the identical parts to replace the ship. As parts of your ship fall off / break, you replace the part with an identical part. By the end of the journey, you've replace every single part of the ship with identical parts. So.. is the ship you ended on, the same ship that you started on..? Let's add another layer to it. You go back into the ocean, retrace every single part that fell off of your ship, and rebuild the ship exactly the same as the 'original' ship. Is the ship you rebuilt with the fallen parts the original ship, or is it the one that you completely repaired. Possibly neither? There's no correct answer, because it's a paradox. :D

I don't get it. If I go to.. Great Clips for example. I pay $15 to get a hair cut. After whoever it is, gives me a hair cut, why am I supposed to tip the person? I already paid $15 to get a hair cut, why am I paying another amount of money for a hair cut.

Off Topic / What's up with the joke clans?
« on: April 30, 2016, 05:14:36 PM »
I'm not going to point any fingers or anything, but anybody can see that the Clan Discussion is flooded with joke clans. Imo, people need to tone it down on all of the miscellaneous clans that have little to no point.

What do you guys think about it?

Off Topic / Neo isn't the one, you guys.
« on: April 26, 2016, 10:06:19 PM »
Warning: Spoilers (If you haven't seen the matrix)

Basically, I am going to quote Film Theory here. But Neo isn't the one, in the Matrix trilogy. Agent Smith is.
Explanation:
The oracle, the architect, and basically everybody says that 'The One' needs to make a significant difference in the matrix. Did Neo ever really do that? Not really, he just flew a bunch. Sure, you can say that he 'killed' Smith, or that he can fight hella well, but that doesn't really mean anything. He can alter the code, but not permanently change the code, or free the people like The One is supposed to do. Speaking of killing Smith, did he really kill him? Not really. He killed a /version/ of him, which only made the same Smith come back, but much more powerful. In the 2nd matrix movie(Reloaded), you can see that Smith, with his cloning, made a much more significant difference than Neo did. Now, you might argue 'but Smith is a program!111!!1'. Yes, in a way, but he is an AI. In the first movie, which Morpheus in the building, with Neo and Trinity with the hele, Smith shows blatant human like signs. He says that he can smell the humans. He hates the stench. In addition, the architect himself says that 'The One' must be around since the beginning of the Matrix. Was Neo? No. But Smith was. Smith says himself that he was in the matrix since the first versions. In conclusion, Smith, in the last movie, got 'killed'. Right? No, Smith inserted his code into the system, through Neo, destroying the virtual world, and freeing everybody. So.. why did everybody think Neo was the one?
Well, in short. The oracle made neo the theoretical one, but her reasoning was to provoke Smith to do more. So that smith, in the end, would free the people. If you notice, after the people are freed, the Architect goes to the oracle, and says something along the lines of 'you made a risky decision'. This decision was lieng to everybody about Neo being the one. So in end: The oracle lied about neo being the one. Neo can hit stuff pretty good. Smith is the The One, and he freed the people.

Sorry if I am missing info, or incorrectly said things from Film theory. I am going off of when I saw it like 2 months ago.

Suggestions & Requests / Server_CommandCalled
« on: April 03, 2016, 01:38:47 AM »
Basically an Event / Server Addon, that checks if a / command has been called. Unlike the Event_Commands, you could call commands without the use of a /cmd blah. Supposedly, since this is server sided, it would check if there is a servercmd function that already exists. So it would be impossible to override something like servercmdSelf Delete.
Would probs be something like this:

Step 1. You create a command, probably with like /createEventCommand COMMAND HERE (Possibly with extra strings and values?)
Step 2. Go to events.
Code: [Select]
(0) [0] onServerCommand - Self - serverCommand = Test1 [1 1(Activated events)]
(1) [0] onServerCommandTrue - Client - Centerprint [You have called Test1!]

This doable?

Good job guys.

It's ya boii dragonoidalayer.
My bet is 43. Just look at drama stuffposting.

Basically, a site for (almost) all coding languages, and starts out with the simplest task(hello world), and moves up from there. Does that make sense?

Suggestions & Requests / Event Idea: "OnBrickControl"
« on: March 25, 2016, 04:55:32 PM »
This addon would consist of Output and Input events that check if a player is using brick control keybinds(Rotate Left, Move left, Move up, Move down, 1/3 move up, etc.), similar to how VCE checks if a player is firing(IfValue - <Var:pl:firing>)

Events would look something like this:
(0)[0] OnRelay - Client - IfBuildControl = CONTROLINPUT [##]
(1)[0]OnBuildControlTrue - Client - Centerprint [You are using CONTROLINPUT]
(2)[0]OnBuildControlFalse - Client - Centerprint [You are not using any build controls!]

KEY:
IfBuildControl = If the player is using any building controls, check this
CONTROLINPUT = Input box / dropdown. Will contain "RoateLeft","MoveLeft","MoveDown 1/3", etc.
[##] = The events that will be activated. Just like prompt events, or VCE event activations.
OnBuildControlTrue = If the key IS BEING PRESSED
OnBuildControlFalse = If the key IS NOT BEING PRESSED

Here is a working example.
(0)[0] OnRelay - Client - IfBuildControl = MoveLeft [1 2]
(1)[0]OnBuildControlTrue - Client - Centerprint [Moving Left...]
(2)[0]OnBuildControlFalse - Client - Centerprint [You are not using any build controls!]

Can this be done? Thanks for taking the time to read this!
