So does the game crash for anyone else?
Yes.

So.. does anybody have any idea why both versions of my blockland are failing consistently at this point in console.log ??

Code: [Select]
Video Init:
   Accelerated OpenGL display device detected.
Activating the OpenGL display device...

Topic: blockland unresponsive on startup

Topic: Problems running the Steam Version

Hope this helps:

EDIT:
A SOLUTION HAS BEEN FOUND
We found a way to make the game work by disabling CFG for the exe. NOTE: CFG is an important security protection and shouldn't be disabled, but since the recent exploit has been patched, you should be safe to temporarily disable it.

Open Blockland.exe in a hex editor (I use HxD) and find these two bytes:

Change "C1" to "81" and save. The game should work now.

the exploit involved server to client arbitrary code injection (not eval/torquescript, engine-level code), which enables stuff like the server giving clients keyloggers or viruses or whatnot. losing your key is the least of your issues - the exploit allows the attacker to serve and execute actual malicious code that can have real consequences.

if playing blockland is more important to you than running the risk of getting a backdoor to your computer getting installed without your knowledge, then go right ahead with downgrading. but im pretty sure you can be patient enough to wait a few days for badspot to fix the issue.
Ah, thank you, I understand now. I'm incapable of playing anyway as my key and steam versions crash seconds after launch attempts

I'm having the same problem. My steam version of blockland won't even launch, and my key version crashes consistently after console echoes "Activating the OpenGL display device... (NEW)", about 5 seconds after trying to launch.

My steam version will update the console.log, but no windows will open up. The last lines of the consol.log are consistently
Code: [Select]
Accelerated OpenGL display device detected.
Activating the OpenGL display device...

this is pretty incorrect since this pretty much confirms its an rce exploit and key stealing is the least of your issues (if it actually is one)
I literally cannot understand what you're trying to tell me here.

You're basically just downgrading to a compromised version by doing that
better than not playing at all.

My Key was compromised. In case you didn't catch on yet.

Off Topic / I need help finding a computer build to edit 4K footage.
« on: February 17, 2019, 06:09:40 PM »
I recently got the Sony a6500, a 4K camera. Previously I've only had Canon 80ds which shot 1080, and now that I have a 4K camera; I do not have a good enough computer to edit 4K footage.

I need suggestions on custom builds, laptops, or pre-built desktops to edit and render 4K footage with Adobe Premiere and After Effects.

Some priorities are storage( because raw 4K footage is loving massive ), RAM, and GPU( because Adobe Products use GPU to render and export ).

Can I get some suggestions? No budget in particular, I just need something sufficient to edit otherwise I am useless with a 4K camera.

After further inspection; Oriony didn't do anything harmful.

He merely got the IP of user Luke_Rena and then used some incredibly basic 'Ip lookup' website to get their city / state / country / zip. This is essentially the extent of what you can gain from an IP lookup, and quite literally every user online can have their IP acquired very quickly.

I'm going to greatly reduce his bar, and change it to a ban, because regardless of the actual damage of his 'dox attempt'; he was still blatantly being toxic, trolling, and trying to be a problem user.

I'm pretty sure that ban is 300 days, not a month.
oops too many zeroes lol
wait no thats the perfect amount
Yup you are absolutely correct. Added an extra 0
