Drama / Re: A final update from us
« on: July 26, 2022, 05:06:50 AM »
It's a struggle, though, because we live in the US, which means everyone wants us dead.
hopefully you also understand that almost everyone and everything wants you dead, inside and outside the US. DID and paranoid personality disorder tend to go hand in hand so it's important to make the distinction that your diagnosis is not why people want you dead. the whole planet is hostile towards all life, and people especially can be hostile to other people, emotionally and physically abusive. the trauma you faced is not your fault; it could've happened to anyone, and it probably did happen to someone else perpetrated by the same person.

not everyone will be in your corner or have your best interests in mind when they interact with you. even your friends and family have personal problems that may interfere between you and them. it may even feel sometimes like they are angry at you when in reality everyone has their own complex lives to deal with. if you haven't already, try to incorporate forgiveness into your daily thought process. for yourself, your family, your past abusers and people who have wronged you. life is too short, and you don't want to spend the remainder of your natural life bitter and confused while others move on.

goes without saying that this is just an opinion and not meant to be a sweeping statement or advice. what works for others may not work for you, vice versa. read at your own discretion.

take time to think about the emotional trauma now. later in life, when physical trauma becomes a real and crippling threat to your wellbeing, you'll be wishing for death a lot harder than those dark moments of your adolescence.

i'm founding my own private security startup. we're rolling out our latest in the line of personal defense drones, hall monitors(tm). 2-meter tall quadrupedal weapons platform with reactive plating and mounted 30mm anti-trenchcoat rifle. guaranteed to keep your schoolchildren safe from shooters for $4999.99 or 12 $420 monthly payments, all major credit cards accepted.

when strangers consistently murder or kidnap humans, the relatives and neighbors get fed up and form their own defense militia. united states law takes between months and decades to take action and make effective progress towards solving social problems such as mass shootings. personal defense & hired security operate swifter than lawyers do. the demand for security increases and the laws will adjust accordingly to incentivize it. armed guards in schools may become a norm in the future.

sometimes i wonder if these Hardcore Gamers are secretly hitman and a high bidder placed a hefty price on the victims' heads. maybe one of the student's parents owe a lot of money and they need to send a message. people have taken schools full of children hostage and even killed more if the price tag demanded it. the fact that some people can shoot up a school for free is the scariest part, because you can never truly tell if they are motivated by money or infamy or emotional sadism. in the end, any end justifies the means when the means (humans) are worth nothing to you

from one perspective it's a matter of mental health. from my perspective it's just brutal pragmatism, and this texas honor student could've been a cartel sicario or a drug dealer in another life and would've done way more damage wholistically to the human population. as terrible as it is that 14+ toddlers had their life cut short, its possible that the shooter's spergout could've saved many more lives than he took; his richardheadedness would've hurt more people if he worked for a criminal organization.

amazon hires armed security for deposits & expensive shipments. most schools in the US have less security than one amazon truck carrying hard drives. putting guns within 1000 feet of schoolchildren has many issues but it really makes you wonder if one armed trained guard would've been enough to stop the elementary school shooting before it began.

violence of this caliber isn't surprising anymore; psychopaths exist in numbers greater than 1% of the human population. with that much potential for one person to massacre a room of toddlers you really have to start thinking libertarian. many years ago I would've felt personally offended by the idea of having teachers with guns or school security guards. now i'm considering personally paying for hired guns to ensure the safety of my future children in school, if homeschooling isnt an option

even if ukraine wins the war, the government may still have an insurgency to put down. with russia out of the way, battle-hardened neo-national socialist cells like azov would have the training, weapons and political power to threaten ukraine's army and further destabilize the region.

162
the best explanation i could find for the random national socialistsm sprinkled in ukraine: there were several militarized ideologies in ukraine that formed during conflicts in 2014, including neo-national socialist, communist & anarchist elements. they were mostly unofficial volunteer regiments and paramilitaries that ukraine's army loosely funded during the more trying times of the donbas war. when the current war broke out all of them simultaneously gained traction and volunteers due to being some of the only armed groups in the area. azov is the big armed neo-national socialist faction in ukraine atm and judging from the rare combat footage of them they maintain a weak alliance with the rest of pro-ukraine forces but will occasionally skirmish with them, either through lack of communication or their own agenda to control ukraine. there is also unconfirmed footage of them committing various war crimes, including zip-tying, butchering and cannibalizing alleged enemy soldiers

war tends to bring out the worst of people's ideologies since all infrastructure has collapsed and the only thing worth any salt during a war is weapons, defense and intelligence. they already possessed these before the war but now that everything has gone to stuff they have more freedom to operate. if ukraine is forming alliance with neo-national socialist groups like azov, its out of pure necessity as they need all the soldiers, volunteers, mercenaries and conscripts they can get their hands on.

while azov and other groups have put out a lot of their own propaganda since the war started, its important to note that they have been reported to have very small numbers, between 900-2500 active soldiers. their social media and PR definitely gives the illusion that they are more significant in size, similar to cartels like CIA or CJNG. their influence over the conflict has been small but well-documented

there arent any definitive answers to these questions, and answers that do exist arent easily accepted by all. selfishness comes from survival instincts, but otoh humans/primates are an inherently social species. theres no way to reconcile the two in a logical way as the premise/core assumptions you have are what define what answers work for you
socializing feels like an evolutionary means to an end and not as much about selfishness. for example, biologists organize to provide crutches to the damaged environment, clean up, plant new trees, etc. its a social activity that also involves socializing with other species of animals, through studying their environment, providing medical assistance. the process still causes indirect damage since all the materials used (metal, wood, electronics) involve ecological damage or child labor.

on the flipside, people can also socialize and organize into poaching parties and decimate whole species, murdering and driving them to extinction. the profits they make off their meat/hide/tusks helps the poachers feed themselves and their families and provide some selflessness or positivity as a means to and end.

its true that the way you perceive and define morals greatly changes the answer, making it super difficult. the answer i try to find in general is if the give-and-take nature of organic life is specific to the planet or is the best available strategy for survival in the universe.
i reject the assumption that humans are selfish by nature, i feel like the only way we survived in nature is through collectively helping each other out

cavemen grouped into tribes and would outsmart and outrun prey, its literally the only way we weren't torn to shreds by every animal
i see it as collective selfishness. the cells and organs of a Flash Mober have evolved to work together to sustain itself, and they will enable the Flash Mob to commit atrocities with indifference as long as they are fed. in the end, the cells get all the energy and oxygen they want, and the murderer gets a vessel to harm others. our ancestors could collect and organize to hunt, build and survive more efficiently than the rest, and the ones that died at their feet enabled their success. countries at war have millions of citizens collectively working for their own self interest and their own survival. whether they approve or disapprove of their government's atrocities is irrelevant because they will still work to eat, pay rent and taxes and enable the war.

it feels like the only selfless thing to do is die/go extinct so you can free up resources for other creatures.

i saw port at the supermarket the other day. when she was done paying she left her shopping cart in front of the door, blocking an elderly couple from leaving. scum like her cannot be allowed to live

the human eye can only process at most 60 frames per second. makes you wonder how many frames of life we missed in the last few seconds
