Knowing how our current president deals with nuclear threats in the middle east, I wouldn't put it past him to do anything serious to NK even if they attacked us. This is especially so due to the looming threat of war with NK's main and very powerful ally.

Drama / Re: You aren't funny and you need to stop

I usually find that the quality of a joke comes in how well it was executed - not how old or new the content is. I too get tired of the maxx and pie crust stuff, but I still laugh when I see even an old joke that was implemented cleverly. I'd be willing to bet that the main reason people hate old or overused jokes is because there's been so much opportunity for failure in making them that they leave a bad taste in peoples' mouths. There will always be more bad jokes than good, but don't blame the context because that's not the part that's supposed to be funny in the first place.
In other words, I would highly discourage making stupid jokes at all, not just in the context of old memes and worn-out ideas. If you want to cash in on the humor of a meme instead of making your own joke, it would be advisable to do it with one that's still funny and new by itself.

That said, even old jokes can be funny when given a clever twist, so don't blame the context for the lack of quality of the content.

yeah creativity is just stupid, like.. nobody cares.. at all..
and this was only up to page 12. but oh well, too bad they dont care
I think you missed something extremely important.
probably because no one really cares for the creativity board unless it's some funny stuff.
The intentionally admittedly stuffty drawing combined with the humorous topic and appropriately bad spelling made it seem impossible for the comic to be anything but a joke.

Hmm, this is tricky, which one is more like America...

Sealand, because they used to be part of Britain sorta like America.
Sealand is more American than America. Who needs government by and for the people when the government is the people?

Is the poll asking which hand you write with or which hand you do the other thing with?

Off Topic / Re: I HATE DRUMS
« on: July 13, 2015, 03:28:41 PM »
I want to make this absolutely clear, because I notice that around half of you decided to take the title literally and completely ignore the OP. I'll just give you the important part.

More elaboration: The specific kind of drums I hate the most are the higher-pitched kicks, especially short or cut-off ones. A good and resonate kick around 60 Hz is ideal for me, but if a song is full of beats that last under 1/8th note at 250 Hz, especially if they're louder than the rest of the song, I tend to end up with red streaks on the side of my head.

I hope this should clear things up. I don't hate all drums as some of you seem to think think, and "I HATE DRUMS THAT ARE EXCEPTIONALLY LOUD, DON'T RESONATE FOR MORE THAN 1/8TH NOTE, OR ARE SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER THAN 60 HZ" wouldn't make for a very good topic title. I was wrong to assume that everyone would read the OP.

I was playing around with an old computer PSU (from the early '90s) and I accidentally forgot to pull the plug out when I flipped the "off" switch. As I was working with it, my (luckily rubber-handled) pliers contacted the metal components connected directly to the AC input, completing the circuit and causing a short which popped the circuit breaker to the upstairs electrical system in my house, completely blacking out the environment in which I had to unplug the power cord, navigate the insanely cluttered floor of my room to the door, and make my way downstairs to reset the breaker. Ever stepped on a lego in the dark? Try stepping on a PCB.
