The ending was pure bullstuff. Luke deserved better. Instead of just disappearing after broadcasting his apparation halfway across the galaxy even though he was supposedly "disconnected" from the force (this is ironic because something that powerful has not been experienced to date), he should have died more of a hero's death I think. Not to say his death was totally bad. Just felt sorta crammed in there with a few too many rabbits pulled out of the hat for my taste. But instead of being a cranky, whiny old starfish confused about who he is, he should be the silent, stoic war hero who dies a humble yet worthy death. Bittersweet even. Maybe Kylo Ren finds the island that Luke and Rey were stashed out on and sends a company of Empire stormtroopers to kill them in the middle of the night. Luke and Rey first rush to defend the locals, who flee while the two Jedis buy time. Some cool actions scenes follow suit with Luke and Rey kicking ass back-to-back. Beginning to realized they are outnumbered, their minds move from "defend" to "escape." Fast forward a couple minutes. They are cornered somewhere on the island, probably at the peak of the mountain, which would be symbolic of whatever. Chances of survival are looking slim. As Rey begins to get angry, Luke simply smiles and says something about positivity and the force and yada yada yada. Yet at the same time, Luke is looking clearly drained from the battle. His smile turns to one of somber determination. As the troops advance up the side of the mountain, he tells Rey to run. Luke fights the storm troopers by sending rocks down the mountain. But they are too many in number. He takes a shot to the stomach. Not a critical wound, but he is not likely to leave the island alive. He crawls behind a rock and watches the sky. As Rey leaves the island in her spacecraft, the sun begins to rise, symbolising the dawn of a new age of Jedi as the island of the old Jedi burns. Then the sounds of Kylo Ren and the Stormtroopers are heard drawing nearer. He looks to the sky one more time, a tear in his eye. Not a tear of sorrow, but a tear of happiness and hope. He closes his eyes and smiles. End of scene. My mind kind of goes blank here because I am nowhere near talented enough to write a scene like this that isn't entirely cheesy. But this would do several things: It would teach Rey a valuable lesson about being a Jedi. It would provide a selfless heroic death that didn't involve defying physics where they had already been defied. It would make Luke's death more emotional. It would give Luke a similar end as his master, Ben Kenobi, completing the circle of his own journey.

Of course I'm no playwrite, and this leaves the end open to the risk of a possibly worse ending, but I think a scene like this could have been cool as balls. All of that being said, I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

You're a likely high-paid medical dude and this is what you do on your spare time? I can't tell you how to live your life...to each his own IG lol
Oh hell no I'm broke as forget. But that's probably because I spend $35 on gas a week plus $50,000 in food and and $125,000 on paintball. I'm in high school my dude lol.
it must be really awful transporting people u 100% know are dead
It's even worse when you go to move the body and the family's still in there. That or they're fat buggers. They're the worst.

what sort of role do you do in the hospital?
I take people to and from x-rays, surgeries, stuff like that. I do room transfers, equipments inspections, and move the occasional dead body to the dead brother storage.
