Aw man, what a kick in the teeth. I was playing Paradise rather recently. Used to play his maps religiously, and Gravity Cat's TDMs on it too.

was exploring le reddit (once in a blue moon event), apparently Free Radical Design got back together with the original founding members, lead by David Doak.
Yeah this guy.
Anyway, someone went through their new offices and they have a very interesting wall of the new game's concept art.
It's obvious they've toned down the breast enlargements that most women had in the original three, times change. tfw no booba timesplitters.
Old news, by like a month. Not breaking news by any means and I appreciate that, but still quite interested to see what's to come - especially with the original lot back in charge.

I think what was previously mentioned about Minecraft to be true, had the educational potential had not been realised.
Where Blockland and Minecraft differ was through their community; one had a dedicated team of moderators that would tackle the bad stuff, and the other just had three, one was pretty power hungry and a textbook national socialist-mod - eventually getting the sack, one was very polite but still doesn't really do enough, and one did all of the work but only comes around to sweep up the rubbish every so often but significantly less than he should. It would be better to sell a product with a good community than have another with a really bad community. Imagine the negative press Blockland would get if it went down the same path as Minecraft and got picked up for the potential it had.

« on: May 17, 2022, 03:50:45 PM »Brickadia was allowed I'm pretty sure but we've reached the stage where a lot of the minor rules aren't enforced anymore, ie one word posts used to get you banned but noone cares anymore.this is even more reflected that a link to a researchographic site lays within an active thread in suggestions / requests.
