I find Rye at the mess hall, doing absolutely nothing. How loving typical.

meh, purebdcraft isn't that good
coteriecraft is much better imo and fits the style of the game a bit better than default
and optifine is kind of a requirement if you plan on running any mods, or at any decent framerate

I just about break down when they start unloading the body bags. This is what I've done. I let down the whole god damn crew. All of them. God, I can't even imagine what it would feel like to fall for two minutes. Hell, ejecting from my plane was hard, but damn, two minutes, with no parachute? I can barely speak anymore.
"I'm so sorry. I'm so god damn sorry. I let you all down and so many of you are dead. It's my god damn fault, too..." I sob quietly, not necessarily talking to Takamichi.

by my math it was about 117 seconds so you were spot on
12 seconds to reach terminal velocity
105 seconds to freefall

I can't believe it. So many dead. The constant droning of helicopters bringing in the wounded doesn't help, nor does the sight of the critically wounded, not to mention everyone else.

I look outside and see a NAUC cargo plane land, likely the first of many. Survivors are brought out in a somewhat orderly faction. Lots of them are wounded. The few that aren't are horribly disheveled. After a few moments of this I go outside to see who made it off. I try to ask one of the survivors how many made it off of that thing when it crashed.

I give up and turn back towards the same friendly airbase as Bell and the AWACS, defeated. My first mission as squad leader and I've already loving failed and let a $24 billion aircraft become worthless. I notice that my fuel is low and I barely have enough for landing, which, unsurprisingly, goes without incident. However, while taxiing to a hangar I run out of fuel and have to be towed.
