I lock on to their lead. He drops chaff and jinks out of the way. Unfortunately for him, I hadn't fired yet. I launch the missile and split his port wing in half. Miraculously, he stays in the air and gets a shot off on me before the aerodynamic instability sends his plane tumbling.

I head out and suit up. I perform preflight checks on the Mirage 2000, and taxi out to the runway.
"Mjolnir 1-1, requesting takeoff permission."
"Permission granted, Mjolnir 1-1. Good luck."
I punch the lever and get into the air, then once I'm in the air, circle the base and wait for the others.
"Mjolnir 1-1 loitering above base."
