there is no "think", skrillex produces dubstep and "brostep" is just a specification.

His sounds are all midrange filtered high-resonance bullstuff, it's brostep. It's been brostep. It always will be brostep.

But his old stuff is just agjagj;agjhagf I hate when people sit there and say 'hurr scary munsturs nice sprites ogm dubstep hur' it's completely loving different. It's my biggest pet peeve ever.

You're silly, you're assuming I want to be popular. I just want people to hear my sounds. (:
Popular =/= being liked, also. You are missing plenty here.

And I like the specific music I create, that specific style, that specific sound. I forgot that a lot of you are scared of a little bass, so I should remind myself in the future that I shouldn't post here if I'm looking for people with valuable information and insight.

And, just getting this out there for once and for all, I have no problem with useful criticism. For example. 'Your bass synth could use a little more EQing at 1200Hz' or 'Too much delay on that lead' but 'it sounds muddy I dont like, reminds me of food' does not make any difference at all to me. Your 'criticism' is muddy. They lack anything that stands out to me. That is your problem.

My apologies but that would actually make any kind of difference to me if I actually didn't do what you said. I spend hours and hours mixing it to get the proper sound I am looking for. I do not care what you are looking for. This should be common sense. I do appreciate that you took time to tell me what you like, yes it matters to me, but I'm not changing anything on the way I mix my tracks. Never. I will proceed to mix and master them how I like. It pisses me off that you assume I'm careless, that's why your opinion has no value to me. Sorry.

Haha I'm in love with the fact that these forums never change. The community consists of mostly 12-15 year old aspbergers sufferers, I swear.


I'd reply to any of these other posts however nobody has given me anything useful besides 'it sounds muddy' even though I purposely mixed it exactly how I wanted it to sound (as you can see in my description) so thanks for once again wasting all of your time guys lol.

and many others, dont you even bother saying you'd be happy without those things because that simply isnt true

Like I said before. Money is a distraction. It's just a small thing to keep me occupied. I would be happy without all these things, I do not need them to be happy.
My hair doesn't make me happy, but I like it. I don't need it to be happy. Same goes to my modifications, my house, the food that I eat, or the clothes that I wear. I could easily see myself being happy and homeless, but I really don't have any negative/positive opinions on that subject. If I end up homeless, then whatever. I do have goals and plans for the future, but if they don't work out, I'm not going to sit around and cry about it.

Edit: Also plus the way the American economy is going... I'm pretty well prepared for when it all spirals down and our money is worth absolutely nothing. (;

Well I'm honestly sorry to hear that.. Unless you have a lot of money. Then I'm glad for you.
As for me, money does not equal happiness to me whatsoever. It's a nice distraction but I don't need it and never will.

Exactly.
I'm working on an apprenticeship for body modification (tattooing/piercing/etc). And if that doesn't work there's plenty of other options. Either way, money and a job are not the keys to happiness. It's all about the way you look at things. (:
