1.) nobody is going to have to the time to moderate children all day, just put in a simple kick script.
2.) clan wars are pointless
3.) could be a problem, but there could be a solution on roblox's side.

well the points vary depending on who's who, really, if you don't find them a problem then you don't find them a problem, but some others may find them a problem (for instance, someone who really likes to clan war would find the update a big issue)

tbh my thoughts are this update was supposed to have good intentions but it was executed in a very poor way, and excused in a very stupid way (who knew that a core game mechanic would be a critical security breach?)

i don't understand the problem with this.

it may not be a problem for some people, but it affects moderators/administrators of games, the clan world, and traders significantly

moderators/administrators - cannot join servers where there is a rule breaker/cheater/exploiter because the server list is not there, unless they have a friend in that server already, and depending on the amount of players that go to that game, it wouldn't be very efficient to use friends to join considering the maximum amount of friends is 200
the clan world - it's harder to join an open server now, due to that roblox puts you in games that your friends are on and if, say, there's 2 servers to defend at a base, roblox will probably be attempting to put you in a full server because your friend is there
traders - some traders like to skim through server lists to trade with people rather than just find them in-game face-to-face, and depending on the place it'd take longer to find them through the search bar, though depends on how you look at it, you might not have a problem with it

as for others, some people like to join servers that are more empty or servers that have a sizable amount of players rather than let the play button do their work for them

honestly why don't they just shut down the loving game

they're so loving batstuff handicapped at running it that this stuff is gonna be like soundcloud in a couple of months with the current path they're going on

probably raking in all they can before roblox inevitably curls up and dies

did a quick search about the error and it's, like you said, apparently an error with the update installing

Google Update installation failed with error 0x80070057 (has more replies to it, probably more info, looking into it dates it back to 2012 with 23 posts, thread is regarded as a duplicate apparently)
Egads! Installation failed. Error code: 0x80070057 (has only 2 replies by the expert replier, op of this thread hasn't replied back yet, thread is from 2015)
(both have what they call an expert reply, google chrome's help forums or google groups)

but you should probably wait for a more experienced person on here to reply to this

roblox issued an update that only shows servers your friends are in due to the problem of bots scanning over servers and sending links 'n stuff like that

sooo... quite a few threads about this with supports filling them on the roblox forums

this sucks.

edit: that's not all, i've been told that moderators are locking some support threads and all they could give was a "sorry" about the decision of making the only visible servers the ones your friends are in, but i don't have confirmation of the locking threads bit happening

damn, just, damn, i never even used soundcloud that much so that's a bummer (but, you know, soundcloud closing is a bigger bummer)

edit: or, people say its back but... egh it's confusing

Usually means something is stalling the shut down process; some application (probably a core Windows service) is refusing to let go.

Have you looked in the Event Viewer to see if there's any error messages generated at shut-down?

i don't know how to use the event viewer (other than i have no idea what that is) while the screen is at o Shutting down... , i'm not really a computer wizard

here we go again

so, earlier today at like 7:40 AM (CST, in case) i had to turn off my computer before going to school. it was taking a while to shut down, so i just turned the monitor off since i had to go.

like an hour ago (it was about 4:25 P.M. when my mother told me this, so like about 8-9 hours the computer was actually still on), my mother came to turn the computer on, but she noticed that it was still on, so she turned on the monitor and it was still shutting down, so she had to turn off the row of plugs (dunno what its called) and turn it on to turn the computer off and back on.

i'm getting concerned because this is the second time it's happened, though strangely it didn't take an eternity to turn it off last night

notable things are that it started after i tried to restart my computer because steam was taking an eternity to show the log-in prompt, and then it took an eternity to shut down, pressing the power button on the computer didn't do anything, had to manually turn the row of plugs off and turn them back on, got the usual "Windows didn't shut down properly" screen or whatever

my computer is... maybe 3-4 years old at this point, maybe more. windows 7.

could anyone help/know what the issue is or is my computer gonna get the final nail in the coffin
