If a college has a music program and you want in, contact the professor and schedule a day you can play for him.Are you sure you don't have to be in honor band or something? If what you're saying is accurate it seems not too hard to get in (As long as you can play the music he/she gives you, which I presume is hard.) Then again, you're the one in college so I'm not going to doubt you.

I'm not talking about rifles/muskets actually used in the early 1800s, if that is what you were thinking.
