i always prefer drawing in larger scales because of the amount of detail i can squeeze in
i think piro (guy who draws megotokyo) once wrote a nice short essay about his preference for digital over traditional art medium usage because it allows him infinite levels of detail (though he concluded that traditional is better for him since that means less details = less time spent on comic pages....)
