I can proudly say I've never gotten a virus. The closest I've gotten was accidentally forgetting to check "decline" when installing uTorrent on their various sponsors and ending up with the equivalent of a bunch of adware bars on chrome.

eh, forget mw2. it's scarier if it's like dead silent outside and it goes off. and it says something like chemical spill or unknown anomaly or something like that. that stuff would kill me.It creeped me out, really, because I was like "oh stuff man this is happening THIS IS HAPPENING" but then again I'm extremely vulnerable to that kind of emotional impact thing. Yeah though, it'd obviously be a lot scarier if it actually happened.

- beeping when i dont know where its coming from, especially high pitched rapid beeping ... which was the sound my old alarm clock made
- computer viruses
- adding onto the above, completely black screens when the device is still on
- a lot of things about electronics scare me in general

My sister said her anti-virus ran out like last week.
Anyway, try cleaning it out from another computer, either by network or by removing the hard drive and putting it through an HDD's case and cords. Done right, there should be no detrimental effects to the other computer.
