you can't just tell them to suck it up and deal with it, that's insensitive and inhumane. it'd be the same as telling someone with any mental problem that it's all in their head, that they'll get over it, etc., that's just not how the brain works. if all you have to say is "get over it" i'm disinclined to actually think you want to understand anything, and if you don't even want to try understanding, then maybe you should stop telling people how they should feel and act.man I wish I was trans instead of depressed so I'd have an army of handicaps to defend me when somebody tells me to "suck it up" or "stop being so sad"
