Could you post a picture of the "General" and "Display" tabs of dxdiag? Incase you don't know how to get to dxdiag, open the startmenu, click run, and type in "dxdiag".

There really aren't any recommendations, as most servers probably won't help you.

I suggest going engineer for the first few times you play, watch how others players play before running out as a spy without a disguise and getting sniped.

We have not seen gordon at all in the game so far. Why would valve change now? Unless they're ready to make people stuff their pants and drop their bag of chips, then they won't be adding a portal gun.

Well, look at the bright side, in Half Life 2: Episode 3, we get to fly to the Borialis i'm sure, then we can has portal guns :D

Wow, if Synergy then became compatible with Half Life 2: Episode 3, and you get the Portal Gun in that game, i can imagine people going nuts making portals everywhere :o

But then we'd see gordon. Seeing gordon is against the rules.

EVERYONE can see the physics, it's just that the physics are off by very small measurements, since all the clients simulate it individually.

Im just asking why they wont work and why would the icons fail on Xfire as well, also does this on the mabinogi "game launch" screen.

You shouldn't be using IE anyways, its security is bullstuff. Not sure about Xfire though.

I told my mom that she could play L4D if I did not have to to the sience fair. She accepted

My mom plays stupid games like Slingo (what the stuff) and whenever we try to introduce other games to her, she's so terrible she abandons it within minutes, thinking she'll always be this bad.

I wish my parents liked FPS games :(
