Modification Help / looking for programmer for weaponset

I'm looking for someone to work with. I've been designing a weapon set based on the rainbow (ROYGBIV, ultraviolet, and a rainbow gun that's super powerful). I can model, but I can't code.

R-Rocket Red. Fires rockets in threes. They're slightly affected by gravity. Lower rate of fire than the default rocket launcher, and lower damage.
O-Offensive Orange. Just shoots orange bullets. They bounce once. Using the default gun stats other than that and using it as a baseline would be a good idea, since that'd probably balance it with the default weapons. For goodness sake, I don't want to murder my mouse, this should continue firing if you hold the button.
Y-I'm drawing a blank here.
G-I'm toying with "Gravitational Green" or "Grabby Green." Neither seems really... useful.
B-Bouncy Blue. Fires fast blue dodgeballs in bursts of 3-7 (whatever's best for balance I guess). They do one point of damage and bounce a lot. IMO should sound really satisfying to fire. Is it possible to make them bounce off players?
I-Incendiary Indigo. Sets things on fire with indigo fire, including the ground where it hits. Good for blocking exits, I guess.
V-Vaccuous Violet. Causes an implosion where it hits. The longer you charge it, the better the blast is, usually causing impact kills at max charge but useful to throw people around as well. Also usable for travel. Charged, and any damage interrupts the charging. Should be balanced by changing the charge time since it should be lethal and impact damage is all or nothing.

UV-Ultraviolent: Very punny. When used, makes the player turn translucent purple (can you force a node to be translucent purple?), agile, and deal melee damage like zombies. There should be a distinctive sound loop and particles for the player while they're under the effect. Used up when activated. Basically just a powerup. Doesn't need a model aside from for being picked up since it shouldn't be held.

So far I've got designs but not models for Indigo and Blue.

Anyone interested? I can do the models but not the code and the animations might take some figuring out. Luckily they don't need much. Ideas for Green and Yellow would be appreciated as well.

(Wait, should this be in suggestions/requests? I want to work with someone, not have them do work for me.)

why do we argue? nothing ever happens unless badspot comes in and bans them
we should start proposing solutions of some sort in a thread, like "user should stop/get banned for X amount of time/apologise/leave for a while for their own sake not ours/etc." and not just "/support" or "ur a literal a utist nd ur drama iz bad" and try to come to a conclusion on what to do, rather than just indefinitely call people idiots

In-game. We use actual evidence, don't act on assumptions, let everyone speak, and don't just all call the person an autistic friend. We ask all involved parties questions, figure out what happened as best we can if there's doubt, and find a way to solve the problem, most importantly.

Anyone think this is a good idea? It's certainly better than calling people names until they leave. That's why a lot of steam reviews are "toxic community."

Suggestions & Requests / teledoor-like boxes?

I want to make something using doPlayerTeleport so it's a bit nicer than the default teledoors (and also works going up/down). Can someone make some un-scripted boxes that are solid color from the inside as well if you're inside them while rendering is on? (And are entirely unaffected by lighting, but are affected by paint, so you can have white teledoors too?)

I dreamed I was playing blockland, and the skybox was glitching out. Then I blew up a car. Someone told me it was made by Crown and that I was part of his criminal gang who for some reason lived in luxury in these concrete rooms, like five feet wide and 7 deep, not enough room to stand up. They had bars at the front, but you could get through this gap at the bottom. I got whatever I wanted and I was offered some weird things I don't want to talk about here (don't wanna be banned) and that was it.

Off Topic / At what age did you first see adult material

EDIT: And how old are you now?
I first saw adult material in Firefly. It didn't show anything under the sheets but it was clear what was going on. I then poured water on my dad's head and walked off. They didn't warn me and I didn't want to see that.

Another question, when do you think it's acceptable to first see this? What age or other criteria?

Forum Games / drawing challenge

in the first post of every page, challenge the people below to draw something (in any medium, it can be pixel art, rendered 3D model, pencil+paper, toast, basically anything other than photography, people below choose. Tracing a photo counts as drawing for our purposes as well. You might just be called lazy.)
If you're not the first poster on the page and a challenge has been posted, just post "Reserved" if you want to participate in that challenge, then draw the thing!
Feel free to judge other art that's already been posted, but don't be mean. Don't say "it sucks" say "X is a problem" or "You need to practice X more". Constructive criticism.

Drama / ravencroft flips out on me for no apparent reason

so I was just minding my own business working on something with events and whatnot
I finally got it working, and I needed people to help test it to make sure it worked with more than one person messing with the machine, so I head to the blockland glass chat room and say something along the lines of "I finally got Deadly Quiz Machine working! I just had to move the spawnpoints so the weird spawn protection doesn't keep players from dying when they get it wrong!"

someone tells me to shut the #### up, Juliun^3, quickly following it with "JK"

and then ravencroft just kinda flips out on me

he tells me to shut up, says I do this every day (I don't even use Glass regularly) and calls me a motherf-er. He repeats that I "pull this sh*t" every day

at some point I said "JK doesn't make it OK" in a sarcastic way to Juliun^3, but Ravencroft had started yelling at me before this

crown suggests we take this to a PM

I ask Ravencroft what I did to make him mad.

he says, to apparently not me, "he's talking major sh*t"

Juliun^3 says "no you started it, lol, don't lie"

I say "um, crown, do you have any idea why Ravencroft is mad at me?"

BlockZClevar1 says "Imma taze you with my own blood, f*g" at one point. I've talked to this guy and he has never expressed such random hate.

I ask if someone impersonated me or something. No answer.

I say I don't know what's going on. Ravencroft says to stop talking then.

crown says "you're the troll here super, stop talking or I'll mute you" or something to that effect

I PM crown, he says he doesn't know why ravencroft is mad but that I should stop talking in general chat.

I PM Ravencroft. No response.

all I did was say what I was doing in the game and Ravencroft flipped out

also you can't copy-paste out of glass chat despite there being highlighting of text or I'd post the full chat log not as images

General Discussion / Minigame server... Nameless as of yet

gonna start hosting a server for building and playing evented minigames. All on one map, all on one server. Right now I've got one functional but unpolished minigame called Deadly Quiz Machine and a yet-unnamed idea about throwing balls at targets and stuff.

so what should it be called?
Minigame Mania?
Minigame Mayhem?
Something NOT alliterative?

I have event_onRelay, which lets onrelay target minigames, but it doesn't work with Slayer minigames. Can this be fixed? I want to have an announcer that announces things based on the time.

General Discussion / A plan to revive blockland

I'm not magic. I can't do this alone.
Here's what we do:
We nominate Blockland for the "Test of Time" Steam award.
If it wins the award, that will bring new players. If we don't do something, they won't stay, so we do the following:
Host servers of interesting, non-freebuild modes, with as little overlap as possible, as often as we can for the next month.
Pick someone to host the one big freebuild server with only a few addons, but interesting ones. Like Slayer, or Advanced Bot Events. Probably we should vote on that. Make sure it's at the top of the list, hosted on a powerful machine that can handle 128 players or something, and name it "New Players Join Here" and stuff.
Stay on our best behavior.

Also, we should probably make stuff on that freebuild server ahead of time. Minigames and stuff, things to do. Builds with interactivity in every corner. Secrets!

If it doesn't win the award, we wait for the next big sale.
